Grabbed a few more later last night. Right now, there's about 100oz of PNW beer loitering around my place.

    Fantastic!
This is, without a doubt, the best news, bar none, that anyone involved in this conversation has received all week! :stuck_out_tongue:

But f'real. Awesome. I'm very excited. And, hopefully it goes without saying, but if the new family member impacts anything to do with shipping or shopping or anything to do with this silly little tradition we have going here... well that just sounds like good priorities! Family first, and the beer will come around eventually, ha. Hopefully she can get of the NICU soon and into y'alls arms full time, and once again: congratulations to you all!

haha, good stuff! I've been plotting the destruction for two months now!
No, no worries, I wouldn't have joined if I didn't think I could mail the box out in time.

I actually have it mostly together, just want to hit up one last brewery, but they're small and only open for like 4 hours 2 days a week, so its hard to get there. I should have that stuff this coming week and ship the following week.

I'm a huge Rush fan, but I get that they're not for everyone. I saw them live at The Gorge in 1997.

Our "I saw that band!" list has some overlap .....

    - Saw AC/DC open for Aerosmith in September 1978, when AC/DC was BLOWING THE F*CK UP in the US and Aerosmith was declining. Ticket was $7, stood three feet from the stage, touched Bon Scott's arm when he put Angus (with his SG duct taped to hold the transmitter unit) up on his shoulders and wandered through through the crowd on the floor. Good times.

    - Saw Dropkick Murphy's open for The Offspring in 2009. The DM's were stellar.

    - Saw Priest in May 1981 in a 2,500 seat amphitheater for the "Point Of Entry" tour, so they played a lot from that album and "British Steel." Phenomenal show, and also the loudest show I've seen - by a LOT.

    - Saw Rage in September 2008 when they played in MSP to protest the 2008 RNC. Me and 18,000 kids bouncing for 90 minutes. Incredible.

    - Saw Rancid a couple of months before Rage in July 2008 in MSP when they played a small club. Had my son and "baby" bro with me ("baby bro" is now 43 years old), great show and it was HOT in that mudder trucker - literally had to peal my jeans off after the show back at the hotel.

    - Saw Social D at Lolla in Chicago in August 2010. They were the "opener" for Green Day. I think they would've gone over a lot better in a club, but JMHO.

As for the LIF, my guess is you've NOT seen L.A. Guns and you've been on stage with Steel Panther twice.

Right now, I'm in a bar drinking coffee and watching my alma mater take a lead into the locker room at halftime, so I'm gonna chance a sports hint.
If memory serves, my target is not much into sports except hockey. His porch is located near an institution that employed a legendary figure who was later portrayed by a former professional baseball player who played in two cities within driving distance of where I grew up.

Well, dammit. The Eags made me think they could actually pull an upset, but nope.

Gonna watch the Zags tonight, but now I'm beer hunting for my target.

... Did you somehow cheat? Nailed both questions. I have huge regrets about never seeing Ronnie James Dio live, and now of course it's too late. Holy Diver is on regular rotation here. His voice is just so damn amazing.

And yes, twice up on stage with DKM during the encore, in the late 90's early 2000's. My regret with them is that I had the opportunity to see them with the original vocalist from their first album but was feeling lazy that night and stayed at home to drink beer.

PM me your address and I'll get some beers headed your way. If you don't like pastry stouts, or have any adjuncts you hate, or any other preferences, let me know.

Nope, saw Tom Petty about 20 years ago, killer show. Love the Gimmes, and while I've never been on stage with them, Spike bummed a cigarette off me mid-show at the Covered Wagon in SF sometime in the late 90's.

Nah, I saw Metallica 3 times during 1990-1992. I prefer to pretend that they broke up right after that and never again put out another album. And actually, I saw Bodycount open for Metallica at a Day On the Green show in Oakland in in '91 I think it was. Cypress Hill I saw open for Beastie Boys and they were exactly what you'd expect lol.

Nah, saw Aerosmith when I was 19 at a stadium show where we had seats relatively close up.

And Disneyland is where I saw Count Basie!!! My dad was a huge big band jazz fan, so it would have been the early 80's when I was 6 or 7 when I saw Count Basie there.

I saw Yoko Ono at a huge festival, the Tibetan Freedom Concert, in the mid 90's. Crazy lineup of bands. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tibetan_Freedom_Concert

Rush. Yes, female Rush fans exist.

Nope, saw L.A. Guns at some stadium festival show. It's pretty vague, but the guy I was dating at the time was into them. Also have seen their better half, Guns N' Roses several times.

440 Six Pack was a punk band that opened for Diesel Boy at a small club in the 90's. Because I have owned classic Mopars, I had to buy their merch. I've still got that t-shirt somewhere...

I have seen ol' Engelbert. My mom wanted to go and I tagged along. I was young enough to not understand why all the ladies were throwing their undergarments on stage.

Rush is the fucking best. If you move you aren't going to be conveniently located to go to ProgPower every year! There's another guy in this LIF who has similar taste in music to you, although I've had to introduce him properly to Rush... right @Xul ?

Okay, I may be out for a y, just got back from Railtown and I might have had more than I should have. To be fair, they generally do a good job, but you to try them until you find the ones that don’t measure up, like their Christmas stout, too spiced, over whelmed the base stout. And their Irish dry was a bit too dry/hoppy. But beyond those, they did well. Might be a haul hint, might not.
