That would be very cool. Galaxy Eureka is a personal fav. I've always enjoyed Citra Eureka as well. It's getting to be that season...

This.. more low ABV options. Sadly I don’t think that resonates well with their standard customer right now. Always stoked on the amount of hop impact Eureka has.

For my money, I would love to see them do full cases of jjjuliusss. 6.8% works for me, and they sure do get a great taste out of that ABV.

Do treehouse not date these 12oz bottles?

Doesn’t appear so. I’m far from a freshness stickler and the bottles of Alter Ego and Green last month were noticeably different (read: older). Don’t get me wrong- they still tasted great, but were obviously not right off the line.

Tree House sees your comment and raises you with a new beer - Weeknight, “created specifically to carry a potent flavor profile in a gentle, light bodied package”

Style? Double IPA....7.9% ABV. But hey, it’s only 12oz.

    Lolz

If I’m drinking 2-3 pints over a 3-4 hour period, I don’t really notice a significant difference between 6.5 and 8.5. I agree with the sentiment, warmer days call for lighter brews, though.

You may not notice it but your organs are definitely feeling it.

The branding there is a little bizarre. If you're going to make a beer specifically called Weeknight, why not make it 6%?

Lucky you. Three 8.5% pints in one night and I'm guaranteed to sleep terribly and wake up groggy - and that's not even accounting for the calories and extra work for my liver.

Nothing wrong with TH making lots of DIPAs - clearly they're selling them and the profit margins are probably a lot higher than for Eureka or Lights On or their lagers. But with the ordering system now in place, a few mixed cases with more lighter beers sprinkled in would be very welcome.

I think the branding that you're referring to is the reason they're in 12 oz cans rather than pint cans.

Next up, Crusher - A 15% barrel aged coffee chocolate peanut butter cup funnel cake milk stout. In a 4oz bottle.

For real. I had three 12oz 5-6% tonight and I fully expect to sleep like garbage.

Weeknight is a terrible name for a beer over 7%, regardless of size.

well i'm not speaking to the effectiveness, just the idea they were going for. Cutting a quarter of the calories and alcohol out isn't exactly something to dismiss.

Finally opened my Native 9. A bit more tart than I'd call ideal, but very good nonetheless. At this point I'd say the iffy pricepoint is a greater blocker to TH being considered a great mixed culture brewery than quality is.

What’s everyone’s opinion on the Juice Project beers? I had the first standard one and liked it. I just got a few cans of the Citra+ BRu1 and Citra + Barbe Rouge as well as the standard “Juice Project with no hops listed.

The two Citra + ______ versions are terrible. Nothing but rotting melon. I get this in almost every EQ beer I’ve had and some Other Half beers as well. I can’t stand that taste or aroma. However the standard Huice Project isn’t that bad. That element is there but it doesn’t dominate like in the other two.

In none of these beers do I get that typical bready note that I think overpowers the aroma of so many of their beers.
