Which one did you get? I got round 1 of Moderna yesterday. Slight soreness in the arm this morning, but that was it.

Pretty sure we got the pfizer/biontech, though I've still got half a cup of coffee to go and I have no idea where I stored the vaccine card, so *shrug*

    I'm going to compile...

    Hint #1
I am not shipping a box.

    Hint #2
I come from a family of steam rail buffs. Spent many an hour on small county roads, and hanging out along great bends in track and advantageous angles to view magnificent iron horses crossing trestles.

Luckily one of those grand beasts was retired to southern California, refurbished and now has occasional runs. She even made an appearance at my hometown's Railroad Days a few years back. My dad remembers riding her from LA's Union Station down to San Diego on a Boy Scouts trip.

Anyway, her fastest recorded speed was 103 mph. I'm thinking that's faster than my box(es) will travel. And they will travel past her departure point for her Chicago to LA run.

    Hint #3
As I hinted in #2, my boxes travel eastwardly. I have a VERY old connection to your state. Like, before it existed kind of old.

    Hint #4
Just to be clear, I am NOT bragging here. I am just coming up with hints.
Or misdirection... But definitely scribing something tonight for ‘tis all I have time for.
Right now, sadly no beers for this guy tonight. Which really bums me out. Too damn busy.
Not that I am lacking. Too many generous beer friends have made me rich in fermentations.
You know what I mean. Generosity in these BIF’s and LIF’s fill our “cellars” right up
to the breaking point. So much work right now, can’t even enjoy March Madness.
Plus, my Boilermakers are out!!! So sad.
As is MOST of the dang BIG 10. And yes, I guess that’s a hint.

    Hint #5
Beer has passed between us in one way or another…
    Maybe both ways.
    I don’t recall.
But I am glad I finally get to drop on you real proper like...

    Prelude to Hint #6
I enjoy making discoveries about and connections between languages. As an elementary school teacher this definitely has been a plus. And my travels have definitely helped me further develop my empathy for a person who is struggling with a second language.

I’m can get by fairly well in Spanish (especially with most people from Latin America-they tend to be pretty patient with a gringo who tries), I used my knowledge of Spanish to help me be a pretty functional tourist in Italy and Brazil (basically a tourist who didn’t keep asking for somebody who speaks ‘Merican). And surprisingly, eine bitte of high school German came back to me while travelling in Germany… Anyway I love making little discoveries, like how sometimes a word can be both a noun and an adjective depending on use, and sometimes you can literally have 2 very smart language/grammar geeks debate whether a word is a noun or an adjective simply by changing the order. Anyway...

    Hint #6
You live a tad closer to a body of water that shares a very, very similar name to a body of water in my neck of the woods. I mean, same letters to a tee. Mine is higher in elevation than yours (by 3,497 feet). According to the overseer’s maps, the closest route for me to drive between these 2 lagos is 39 hours driving from mine to yours.

Another box is away to...somewhere. Pewpew.

Also, haul hint: I'll be trying a few of the beers I carted around today over the next few nights. And now that those are put away, I can finally open that giant box from @Mbgreg.

    DINOSAUR WORLD!!!

And is that sweet ride going to be included as a prize for the winner of your next LIF? Just thinking out loud here . . .

Haha I forgot about you and Dinosaur World! It sold out to the League but I have my doubts as to whether it will live up to it's former glory. Will let you know.

And that's my grocery getter, can't have that as a prize or how will I round up tasty beers for BIFs, LIFs, and ninjaing?

I actually love the idea of you driving through that part of the Bay Area in an orange Challenger; not your typical ride in those parts, at least as far as I can remember.

Great lineup! @Ozzylizard, you get New Trail out in your neck of the woods? My target is going to get to try some NT goodness very soon, too. Probably my favorite new-ish PA brewery.

Exhausted? Headache? Sounds like my typical weekend after going too hard on a Friday night. Speaking of which, thanks to @Dimidiata I'm well into my first round of the night. Blinding Sunset by Slice uses all Nectaron hops and comes it 7%. I don't drink a lot of west coast ipa's because they're just not made often around here, and the ones that make it to the bottle shops are often not the freshest. For that reason, I'm always excited to get some of these from you fine folks out there. This has a great aroma of berries and citrus. The flavor is more berries and citrus with some dank for good measure and a great bitter finish. Sparkly glass comes courtesy of @Dimidiata as well. Thanks again!

We started getting New Trail and, I think, Ever Grain here on a regular basis about a year ago, maybe a bit longer. I see a lot of praise for a lot of New Trail's stuff, including from yourself, but I just haven't had a chance to buy any yet shamefully. I really need to get on that.

Not wasting any time, I like it. Guava was the standout flavor for me from this beer, although I don't recall getting it from other beers that had Nectaron included. I find WC ipas don't age gracefully, or maybe I'm just picky. Gotta get em as fresh as possible.

Moist and Meaty has to be an early contender for BIF #14 .... but I'm afraid of what that theme would bring.

I feel like I need to just buy a guava and eat it. So many times I've had it as an ingredient or in a beer, but I'm not terribly familiar with what the fruit tastes like on its own. It's always interesting to me how different in representation fruit flavors are between west coast and hazy ipa's. It's like tasting the clean essence of those flavors versus the absolute saturation of them. I can't wait to try the DDH West Coast from North Park for that reason, but that will probably be another night. In the spirit of not wasting time, I do have another coming up.

Honestly? Do it. Same with any other fruit you see named in the descriptors that you've never had. It really helps with identifying flavors in these beers.
