    Or other KBS variants, had they been available.

    I think my favorite side-by-side I did with these was KBS and Sunday Morning Stout (often hailed as a "KBS-killer" when it came out). Now we're talking two beers with a nearly identical premise and treatment. I think Panther Cub next to CBS is very similar, except for the higher ABV, coffee, and harshness of CBS, and the vanilla in Panther Cub.

    I did SMS vs KBS back in the day... and preferred SMS at the time. I took some time to come around to KBS, but that was after I stopped seeing SMS. It'd be an interesting re-match, like Tyson vs Holyfield.

    Actually, no... nothing like that. Unless both beers were highly aged :smirk:

    I've heard of getting "bubblegum notes" in beer, but it's not usually in the Appearance category.

    Another excellent IPA from Dancing Gnome - “Mosaic Jam”:

    Mosaic dry hopping lends tropical fruit and a dollop of dank to the nose, on an otherwise great tasting beer. The boil is hopped with Vic Secret and the taste is pineapple, mild bitter Meyers lemons, berries. Peaches/mild stone fruit on backend.

    Bare Hands Oooo That Smell IPL (100% Centennial). Tastes like an India Pale Lager version of Bells Two Hearted and I’m not mad about it. Clean, bitter, and full of orangey, piney hop goodness.
