These crowdsourcing posts that find the beers that prove OH hasn't completely jumped the shark are all well and good, but this is the type of content that we need to hit annual post quotas.

Sign me up, I am here for it! On another note I should have gotten 2 4-packs of the DC Hop Showers, drank my last yesterday and I am sad about that

So OH fucked up the St Paddy's math, with 3 Green IPAs dropping this past weekend, wtf OH?

I wonder who is the patron saint of melons...

Spending the last year snagging limited online beer drops from Other Half, Side Project, etc. have been merely a training exercise for the real test: getting a vaccine appointment tomorrow now that it's 30+

It was great hitting the taproom on Sunday. Very chill. Staff was all super friendly. Great to have the Citibike dock a couple blocks away.

Yes it is and I can confirm the lack of melon. Tastes exactly like you would expect from a Citra/Amarillo beer.

3.75 is average for OH - Mylar is closer to 2.75

I feel targeted because of my Virginia plates but lest it be known I was a local at one point and am fully licensed to untappd style hot takes accompanied by low scores. I would say a solid 3, just tasted kind of grainy/dirty similar to OG Other Half IPA? Not a bad thing if you know that's what you're going in for but tasted nothing like past DDH Mylar Bags i've had and lacked the cleanness and tropical freshness.

Apologize if it has been mentioned before, but has anyone gotten cans from Other Half's "pop up" at Foreign Objects Brewery? It has been going on for a few months now (no clue what's going on with Foreign Objects themselves), and I see they usually have a ton of cans, but looks like some pretty old ones too?

What's the current perception on the quality coming out of OH's DC spot versus their longer established locations? The sense I got shortly after DC's opening was that they were still working out some kinks, but I've heard scattered suggestions that they're mounting the learning curve nicely.

I think everything I have had from the DC spot my friend has sent or I have gotten in BK has been good. A few were just okay and a few were great, but its all really dependent on your tastes and what you are looking for. As I said last week, the batch of DDH Hop Showers out of DC was great. But if you are really digging the melon notes a lot of BK offerings have over the last year or so, it doesn't have that at all.

Not sure if anyone else is interested in novelty glassware but Permanent Hangover is doing a glass with Other Half. Looks cute

I would say mixed and as per learning curve, DC water is obtained from different reservoirs. Maybe some local can comments on the specifics, but I heard it's been challenging to work with that.... unlike our beautiful upstate water gravity fed into nyc.

I haven't picked up a DC can in a while, but I've really enjoyed the difference in profile from the usual OH stuff. I thought Jumbo Slice was incredible though it got beat up a bit here on BA. Your mileage may vary!

A friend of mine has been checking in a ton of them on Untappd for the past few weeks. I can reach out to him if you have a question.

To all my phish heads, underneath the Watching Grass Grow can says “it’s still lawn boy”

Is this a phirst for OH? Haven’t seen a phish reference under there before

I have been hitting that pop up every other week since it started. The pattern I've seen is new cans usually show on Friday. The FO instagram is usually updated each day with any new drops.

I was at that lawn boy show. I feel like I’ve seen a random ph reference in the past. One I definitely remember was a Grateful Dead dark star lyric at the bottom of a can of Space Diamonds. Also, they had a grisette on tap a few years ago called Half Step. I had asked about that one and was told one of the brewers is a huge dead head.

so, anyone try the citra mosaic yet?
