I see that photo now and think “probably an engineered distraction so someone can sneak off with everyone’s allocation while They watch the fight.”

That was back when they'd open the pub up to the public after the "event". We didn't make DL that year but stopped in afterward to witness the carnage. It's whole new perspective when you're not wasted. Servers behind the bar were pretty toasty themselves and I remember some totally obliterated smaller dude coming up to the bar and putting a wad of crumpled bills on the bar and asking for a Dark Lord draft. Not sure what the gave him. Right after that the cops shut it down. Nothing quite like the smell of beer and piss wafting through the parking lot. I do business with some of the tenants in that industrial park and they were pissed. There was shit that needed to be cleaned up for days. It was awesome. That was the last time they opened the pub after the event.

The pond fight year was 2010. 2011 was the first year they fenced off the FFF property and you had to have a ticket to get in.

What’s the story behind the koi pond wrestling? Was it two drunk friends
In the water or was it a cat fight between strangers?

Not counting Handjee and Chemtrail, which 2020 variant was your favorite?

Really, I had Keyrock rated lower just based on my opinions. I did not try it yet. I got one, but have it as #4 of my pulls. Maybe I'll give it another chance.

I’ve had Rrari, Chemtrail and Keyrock. Keyrock was the best of the three. I’ve still got Hellaboozie to go.

My quiet theory in my head about what may've been behind FFF's closing(though I have no way to be 100% sure), is that they spent a crapton of money to renovate their existing brewery. Not to mention on a side note, open a FFF distillery as well. The former renovation makes sense(to expand their brewing operations, plus capacity at their brewpub since often it was way overcrowded in the early days), but the latter one to open a distillery I'm not sure why they tried building a distillery myself. I'm not sure if the Floyd brothers(who run FFF) got into a crapton of debt, doing both of those renovations? It's one of those things where none of us probably know what really occurred behind the scenes, but I have my major thoughts those 2 renovations were probably why. And of course, the fact that it'll take a while for certain people to get back to being confident in going out to eat and drink at restaurants and bars again, due to COVID.

I think that distillery has to be a pretty big money out for now

They are selling 2 year aged whiskey for $100. I doubt the spirits are moving much.

If they put out some good beers they could regain the beer community. It's not a good sign when the best beers were brewed 5+ years ago. BA Darklord and Zombie Dust.

I read today that they are now the 24th largest (someone check me if that's wrong) brewery in the US. Their model in no way is to create niche beers that satisfy the micro; they are looking macro.

I predict that they get a huge offer from one of the major breweries within 12 months. Bold predictions!

Well, it's relative but FFF moved from 31st in sales volume for US craft breweries in 2019 (link) to 24th in 2020 (link).
