@augiecarton Are we getting some HopPun this year? It's been my "Easter" weekend beer for years now.

 

Peitsche was delicious. Think I may like it more than Frusta. Such a great series.

 

Anyone notice an Odub shortage in North Jersey? I'm in Morris country, and a bunch of places that I usually buy Dub from haven't had it in weeks. Probably going to do a home delivery this week just to stock up.

 

Bottle king Ledgewood has it on their website. No idea it's age of course.

 

Funny @eloGoat i came in to ask the same thing about boat. Saw plenty of o dub ironically but no boat anywhere.

 

Agree Boat and Odub both seem a little less prevalent lately. Comes and goes, as opposed to almost always being on shelves. OTOH, with a little effort I'm glad to be finding other recent released like Peitsche, and Whip being on shelves frequently.

With the increased availability of stuff coming down from New England and things like Weldwerks, and others from out of our area showing up, I'm thinking stores are maybe ordering a little bit less of things across the board to be able to accommodate the variety? No idea though TBH

 

Picked up Scoot Scoot Scoot.

Very interesting IPA. It finely walks the line between a single and a double. You don't get quite the thinness of a single but you don't get the full thickness of the double. Enjoyable, especially at 7% abv

@eloGoat found boat in my beer store stop today. Hopefully you can say the same for your o dub soon.

 

Did u have any oxidation issues with it? So far 2 of my cans poured out a murky down brown color which is usually the case for oxidation.

 

Yea I def have. Seems to be not rotating as much anymore.

 

I only had 1 straight outta the can.

 

The only way I drink boat, and it’s glorious every time.

 

let us know how the other cans are if you pour them out into a glass.

 

Okay, yeah I got two cans like this too. Have not tried the others in the four pack, but the two I had were for sure oxidized. The color and more notably the aroma and taste were way off of what I expected. I got them out of the cold section at one of my local liquor stores and they were dated 3/17, so I dunno what was up.

 

Same exact situation for me. Got them from the cold section in Garys Wayne with the same date as well. Heavily hopped NEIPAs are especially sensitive and easily prone to oxidation, but its just an issue I want to bring up because I took a look on untappd and there seems to be lots of other people with oxidized cans as well.
