Your review is spot on - Three Floyds is the master of ..... using LOTS of hops. Even when the beer would probably be better with subtler hopping. Very well done, Bill.

Okay, Imma break out some more hops from the magnificent boxes sent my way by @WunderLlama. Let’s do this live.

There’s pineapple juice in my glass - but it’s a beer, with a big, dense egg-white head that has an ironclad grip on the glass. The nose is bursting with citrus notes as soon as the top is popped, with big tangerine, mango, and passion fruit notes.

There’s an earthiness to accompany the citrus on the taste, courtesy of the Simcoe hops, which really makes this a spectacular example of the style, and there’s a bit of a creamy oat flavor to provide balance.

What a tremendous beer this is. Rated 4.49.

Sorry to disappoint - I picked up a four-pack at Riverside in Grand Rapids, MI.

Another one from @WunderLlama. This is amazeballs.

Pineapple color, really hazy, an oatmeal colored head that is sudsy and departs the premises quickly. There are massive amounts of citrus aromas hurling themselves from the can, with oranges, pineapple, and mango most prominent.

The taste is crushingly citrus, with some of that lychee flavor I enjoy so much accompanying the oranges, pineapple, and mango.

For hop juice bomb holy grail hunters, this is your Mecca. Phenomenal world class beer, IMHO. Rated 4.59.

    Thanks, Justin.

I mean, anytime you want something you can always ask ...

Edit: weird I’m trying to quote the post @Ozzylizard quoted, but when I do it takes me to that guava tree post ... anyway if you want Rev beers (not guava) let me know. You’re on your own for guava fruit :stuck_out_tongue:

Finally got box #1 launched during my lunch break today! @Victory_Sabre1973, it might be the most beer I've packed into one box, so be prepared for anything!

In slightly over an hour, my work week will be over, and it's been a crazy one. I should probably then commence clearing out space in my fridge, because I've got another blow about to strike my porch via @JayORear, at least according to USPS tracking. However my friends Beth, Lon, James and Josh are finally able to open their bar for the first time in over a year today, so I think I'm going to be heading down to their place and grab a proper whiskey or two.
Oh, and someone In the PNW is also sending me beer, apparently.
    My porch is so fucked.

@ovaltine was actually following in my footsteps ....

But before that, I did a blind side-by-side of @WunderLlama 's April Fools' beers:

Both my partner and I nailed it. As soon as the Miller Lite hit my lips, I knew it (too many bowling alley pitchers, perhaps). Surprisingly, it was the darker of the two beers.

But this was the highlight tonight (well, until I took a sip of Huna just now .... ):

Although my Perfect Storm came courtesy of @Rub_This_BBQ , I too reviewed this beer this evening.

Darker than I expected, but otherwise in line with what you expect from Tree House. Bright and juicy on the nose; incredibly juicy and smooth on the palate. Low bitterness and no noticeable dankness. Fruity notes are wonderful, and I know I'm missing some there (it'll come to me later).

Thanks everyone (yes, even for the Miller Lite and Bud Heavy :joy:)!

Well, it was a super quick reprisal shot in the event of a nuclear war. They would launch those nuke-armed F104s via rocket directly from hardened shelters after the USSR would have delivered an atomic attack, so I don't think the environment would've really even been on the table anymore at that point.
Oh, the fun of the Cold War...

Side note, This surely glass is killer it is like a aroma cannon really love it.

Personally I love over hopped stuff and something I struggle with in my brewing but but that is what I like about learning about the BJCP style and how to draw out the subtleness in certain style

Well, I'm FINALLY caught up with this thread. If anybody's sent me a UPS box from Shrewsbury, MA, don't believe the tracking - it's at UPS in Erie, not at my home to which it was addressed. When I questioned why it ended up in Erie, the response was basically "DUH?" So tomorrow they've allegedly going to ship it to the actual address. That'll be day three of expecting delivery.

Cheers, brother! I was afraid I was a little ambitious trying to fit that much into that box, so I'm really happy to see it all there safely. I took inspiration from your past packing jobs and decided to go for it. Enjoy!

Rather the glass than the beer...@Ovaltine, a new, more bubbly wrapped glass will be on its way to you along with some malted beverages as “protection” from those delivery thugs
