If you could be a beer trader anywhere in the country (or world?) where would it be? I'm thinking a combination of good, locally available beers with limited distribution, killer brewery-only releases, or maybe just really good distribution (think Pennsylvania). The list below includes the first ones that came to mind.

northern Vermont - something about dudes named Shaun/Sean brewing beer in the middle of nowhere. Oh, and Heady Topper, too.

Portland - there seems to be a shortage of Portland traders, at least relative to the number of great breweries there (HotD, Cascade, Upright).

Minneapolis/St. Paul - we've got Surly and Town Hall, with New Glarus just across the border, plus the combined distribution of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Colorado? Chicago? SoCal? What do you think?

    My house

~30 mins to the outlets for Lawsons
3-5 minute (depending on the TWO traffic lights) to the Alchemist Cannery
    90 minutes to HF

    Not too shabby.

I suppose, but don't you think there's some skill involved as well, like expert negotiating tactics? I'm not saying location has nothing to do with it, but there's more to it than that.

Definitely any random guy can stumble into a good win-loss record if he is in a good location. But it definitely takes a particular set of skillz to create a hall of fame type winning record. nomsayin?

That's right. Its not just about the win, but the margin of victory is what counts.

Dude had such a great winning streak going during the Beatification season that he started throwing games for a while before ramping it up again for the playoffs.
