No sweat. UPS is totally screwed up - they've opened a new shipping/delivery point a couple miles from my house. I took a box down this morning to ship to @Xul. When I got there, they informed me they couldn't print labels so the only boxes they accept have to be pre-labeled. So I went up the street to FedEx - they may cost twice as much but at least they deliver to the door and no "pre-labeled only" crap.

You can never watch Schitt's Creek too many times ... I'm currently rewatching it with my wife now.

Off work and am getting beer and pizza at Republic PI, and am enjoying sitting outside. I spent all day today dealing with deeply entitled people. Maybe that's why I'm cranky. Or maybe that's because I've had nothing but coffee all day.

Anyway, box #2 for @Victory_Sabre1973 was launched around 3:45 this afternoon. The clerk at the PO said it should arrive Thursday. I'd feel a little more sanguine if it hadn't been the exact same clerk who said box #1 would arrive by yesterday (I know it's not her fault, it left Spokane precisely when it should've. Just seemed like a poor omen).

Psychotic Easter-themed art and a Ghostbuster reference. This might be the greatest post in this BIF.

I have this image of him opening a box from you and it's nothing but grits.

Maybe a mixture of both, to convey the full experience.

I've spent my evening ordering a couple Cameo messages from Dean Ween and Tim Cappello for a friend's birthday while sipping some fresh Pliny from @Dimidiata. Not a bad night, I have to say. Not sure who Tim Cappello is? I'll include his most famous moment below the beer. Thanks again for this treat, Christine!

Ah, The Lost Boys. That was filmed in Santa Cruz on the Boardwalk and the surrounding area.

Also, I forget to mention you almost got one of these in your box, but I figured a softball sized fruit was a waste of good beer space.

Holy shit! Me and a couple friends of mine were in a discussion last week at Whistle Punk Brewing about cult movies, and Lost Boys came up, which led to a sidebar just about that dude.

Considering the box is now listed in Minneapolis, as of a quarter to 7AM, I'd say the odds of it hitting today are slim. I'll check one more time before I leave for work, but it looks like I won't get it till Thursday.

I thought it was filmed there, but wasn't positive. I wish I had the chance to hit Santa Cruz during the day instead of just after dark if only to get a good look around. I dug the fried seafood on the wharf and the general vibe. We were staying at a hotel about 30 minutes away, and every uber/lyft driver we had could have been a strange side character from The Lost Boys.

Good call on the guava, if only for the havoc one could wreak(and possibly reek) in any potential shipping delays.
I was just in a grocery store last week and one of the cashiers that was a few years north of me was talking to her younger co-workers about The Lost Boys. They had never heard of the movie. I had to chime in that it was a classic.

I had never bought a Cameo message for anyone before last night. I started scrolling through the musicians and he popped up. I never would have known who it was if he hadn't mentioned his connection to the film in his bio. Apparently, he also played sax for Tina Turner, but "from The Lost Boys" is how he bills himself. When he mentioned that he'd have his sax and belt out a few bars in the message I was sold!
I absolutely will! We're still in the planning phases, but I'll give you plenty of notice.

Sure as hell wasn't expecting that.
