Am I the only finding that list a bit disappointing?

Last year lineup was more impressive IMO. Hopefully some cool brews will be added...

I am pleased that Ommegang will have 3 Philosophers there this year... Also excited to try some Founders and Jolly Pumpkin!

Looking this over again, I'm tremendously underwhelmed.

You do realize that to the rest of Canada, comments of underwhelmed and "a bit dissapointed" just smack of beer knurds who have been spoiled rotten with choice, right? Or are we missing the sarcasm emoticon in your posts?

I'm guessing he may just mean disappointing compared to last year? Have a look-see:

I'm hoping the reason for the major reduction (and lack of special beers) is due to it being a preliminary list.

The real disappointing part? THEY BOOKED IT THE SAME WEEK AS THE GRAND PRIX, AGAIN! WTF! :grimacing:

Thanks for clarifying, you're spot on. My comment was concerning this year's line-up in light of last years. I hope this is only a function of this being a preliminary list, I really wanted to go this year.

I'm a bit disappointed with the US selection as well. A lot is easily available with a quick trip stateside though it's nice to see an unknown (to me at least) from AZ.
Belgium is pretty thin but the Latin countries look to have some interesting beers. As always, local breweries usually have a stellar lineup so looking forward to seeing theirs. A mixed bag but it is a preliminary list so...

I'm curious why Hill Farmstead and the Alchemist aren't invited/won't be there (not sure if the breweries are invited or if they volunteer to attend). They're much closer than a wide selection of the other breweries in attendance...

MY thoughts exactly. Would be great to see those two participate. Hopefully this is a prelim list and there is more selection to come. Either way, I look forward to this!

Contact MartinT on this website and or Ratebeer. They often have a Vermont brewers event off site. Think last year it was a Benelux. Sure they will post as the event gets closer as this is through their private importation company. If some one really cares look in last year threads about the Mondial.

I think last year was the first time this happened if I'm not mistaking. No ?

Yes and contact Martin T. I don't live in Quebec and he would be in on the organisation of this.
