NBS BIF #13: Peninsular Envy 2 (The Rocket-Ball Inception)

West Virginia. I bet it's West Virginia. WV was the last state I got. WV and ND seem to be the hardest states to get, unless you live close-by.

Somebody send this man a WV brew, STAT!!!!!

I just now finally made use of the stats made available to us grizzled Poobahs and I realized I have more states left untasted that I thought: 13, in fact.
I'd have many more of those if I'd not taken part in most of the NBS BIFs! Y'all have been some outstanding maniacs, and #13 has been no exception!

 

Just before leaving for work, I discovered. @JayORear's attack #3 on my porch has struck home.
I had no time to open the box, which was bulging, a little torn at one end, but was also reassuringly dry (I set it on a couple towels just in case, but I don't think they'll prove necessary. If it does, I'll just wring out the towels into a glass)

I've been hit!

Fedex told me there was something waiting on my porch - but upon inspection my porch was fully intact which seemed surprising given the participants in this BIF. Then I saw it. My driveway, completely obliterated... The Fedex driver couldn't manage to transport this box all the way up the path to my door and gave up once he made it down the driveway. Good thing I have time to repair before I need to go to work on Saturday...



And yes, I was a target of a ghost sender, the fabulous @LehighAce06 ! I've taken a peek in the box and I'll post pics later today, but my god, I'm going to be busy for a while with this box. I see those Tired Hands beers peeking out amidst all the other goodies. And PEEPS!

Well, we’ve transitioned from “crazy amounts of beer” to “I’ve literally run out of refrigerator space for beer” .....



..... and this ninja hit is from someone who isn’t even participating in this particular BIF, our beer nerd friend @larryi86. This is a fantastic assortment, all of which are new to me except for Alien Church, and I can’t get too much Alien Church in my beer nerd life.

You are a gentleman and a scholar, Larry. I will make sure and post my reviews here as I work my way through these phenomenal beers.

I’m honored that you allow the likes of me to consort with such a wonderful group of beer nerds. You are all the cream of the crop, IMHO.

PS: Ranger is developing PTSD from the constant ringing of the door bell as these boxes are delivered.

 

Fingers crossed a certain piece of swag made it in one piece . . .

 

Revision would be a good brewery for that Nevada tick . . . you sure I never sent any to you when I was in SoCal?

The mayhem continues! @Mbgreg assaulted my porch with a 30 pound box of as of yet unknown beer related goodness.
30 pounds! Good grief people! Someone is going to be squished with a stupid grin on their face if this escalation continues!

Another big hit from @FrankenMiller and it's full of cans and swag. It's a great assortment of Florida sours and a couple cans of New England mead. Also a mystery crowler, and although I had a can of hops from them in the first box, I'm not going to do any research on what they might crowler so I'm fully surprised on Sunday. Very cool box of beer.

Was going to put them in the fridge and wanted to list them all since there are some real fun beers in here.

Not really. They don't have a ton of breweries that distro much beyond the state, and I can't think of one that gets what I'd call "wide" distro.
