The spot has been open for the past 2 weeks or so and is absolutely beautiful! They've got outdoor seating as well. Most of the beers on right now I would describe as "easier drinking" styles, fruited sours and neipa, though the west coast IPA was fun. I had Power Couple (dneipa with Strata and Riwaka) and Marine Layer (west coast ipa with Strata and Centennial). Both beers were quite dry but very drinkable. Given the COVID restrictions, they require a food purchase but have spicy nuts available for $2 (olives for 3, and pricier options if you're feeling fancy).

After a long spell of no news it looks like Underground Beer Labs is doing their first release next week. Not sure if the taproom is opening along with it or not.

It's good if you're into light hazy hops and fruited kettle sours. If I'm out that way for cans, I think I'd go a bit further to Grimm, but Talea is a great spot to meet someone and have a few. I went back a few days after that review and met a friend for a couple Sun Ups. It was very tasty and easy drinking, be sure to note roughly half the beers have lactose added in case that affects you.

Opening this Friday, but unfortunately for to-go can sales only at the moment. Got a NEIPA, West Coast IPA and dark mild out of the gate which is awesome.

Underground Beer Lab opening Saturday with a five-beer release. DIPA, IPA, pils and Belgian table beer cans and a farmhouse IPA bottle. Legitimately super annoyed that they opened out of nowhere two weeks after I was out in that exact area of Syracuse, I'd have waited to take that particular daytrip. Bastards.

Early word (people that actually wrote little reviews on Untappd) looks great, too.

My buddy got 2 of the cans (the green and the red ones) and said they were both really good.

Readington (NJ) Brewery and Hop Farm, I believe is aiming for a late Spring or Summer opening. Similar model to Screamin” Hill, I believe.

It brings me great joy to relay this:

Over two years after the devastating fire and a year after covid started, Common Roots will finally be re-opening their taproom next month. I'll be there with goddamn bells on.

Looks like a spot called Forged Brewing opened between Binghamton and Unadilla a few weeks ago. Got a pils, stout, IPA, some sort of rauchbier and whatever they consider an 'American ale.'

Not far at all off 88 so if you're going between Binghamton and Albany you could hop right over there.

News comin-a fast and-a furious lately.

Ardennes (Belgian/farmhouse spot in Geneva) gonna open mid-May. Check the Twitter account of @WillCleveland13 for pics. Place looks special.

Also: We just got a round of cans from Foreign Objects up here (first I've seen in, like, a year?) so maybe that taproom is opening soon?
