Bell's released Cherry Oberon yesterday at the General Store for curbside and onsite sales only. (No distro.) I think this is a new beer; at least I've not heard of this variant before. I didn't look on the website today to see if it's still available. If you're close to Kzoo it might be a tasty beer to try.
Dude I’m 2 hours away but I might make the drive. I love Oberon and a cherry variation sounds perfect. I’ve already drank a couple cases of the original this year, I didn’t even know they made others. Have they done this in the past?
According to the Bell's page here on BA (https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/287/?view=beers&show=all), there have been Mango, Raspberry, Chai Orange, Mango Habanero, Mango Habanero (Tequila Barrel Aged), Pineapple-Jalapeno, and Pomegranate-Papaya w/ Coriander. The Raspberry was released last year and was a General Store exclusive like this year's Cherry. The Mango version did go into distro last year but I don't know how far and wide it got into Bell's footprint. I don't see a bottled version of the Cherry Oberon on the website (maybe I misunderstood the facebook post that I saw, or more likely they sold out of it already) https://pickup.bellsbeer.com/collections/cans-bottles?page=2 but the draft version is available for crowler fills. The Mango Habanero is also listed currently as a draft beer so you can get it in crowlers too. I suggest you call ahead to verify availability before driving that far.
Don't forget the Uberon! They brought a keg of it to the last UPtoberfest and it was one of the best Bell's beers I've ever had.
Yeah, originally I thought the Oberon and bourbon flavors would never work, but I proved myself wrong when I finally got a chance to have a glass of it. it's a very tasty beer.
Man I really wish I lived closer so I could experience what the locals do. Unfortunately if it’s not on the shelves I just don’t get the chance to try it.
^^^This. Planned to make it up in May, but issues at home putting the kibosh on those plans. Will try again, trying for late Aug.-early Sept.
Yeah man I do what I can but have yet to have the time to devote what would basically be an entire day to go to the brewery.
Oddside 11th anniversary. “To celebrate our 11th anniversary, we created this limited edition imperial stout. It was aged in bourbon barrels for 14 months with coconut.” A whopping 17.76 percent. Anyone had this? Should I enjoy it soon or age more? Edit: how do I get my pictures to show up on these forum posts?
A third party hosting site needs to be used. I use Imgur.com (it's free). Upload the pic to that site. Click on that pic from your collection of Images that you've uploaded over time to get to the page for that image and you'll see 6-7 types of links that you can copy to your clipboard. Click on Direct Link. Then come pack to the thread where you want to create a post and click on the Image icon in the edit bar (next to smiley face) and paste the Direct Link from your clipboard. It will appear in your post where you have your cursor placed. (I was able to view your pic by right clicking and opening in a new tab, then copying, saving and uploading to Imgur.)
Dude you’re the man. I’m screen shotting your explanation to use until I get this down pat. Much appreciated.
Yep, I hear that. I have to get up to MI, combo vacation and family business, and want do devote,a day to Founders and a day to Bell's.
Oh for sure man you easily could. Everytime I go to the beer store I’m thinking I’m gonna expand my horizons and try stuff from out of state but I always end up with at least one pack of Bells and one of Founders because they really do just pump out killer stuff constantly and it’s hard to even keep up. If you have anything in particular you want to try we can trade.
