Burial Beer Co. -- Contrition (pilsner)

Pale yellow body; dense carbonation with lively, small bubble carbonation; incredible dense and billowy white head, long lasting; rings and patches of foam stick to the glass. Beautiful aroma; mild grain notes with hops exuding sweet grass and soft, fruity esters. Incredibly balanced taste; light toasted malt with a moderate hop bitterness; very clean. Light to moderate mouthfeel; crisp; very gentle grain warmth.

This beer is one beautiful mo-fo. It nails the German pilsner style. Its initial simplicity manages to reveal deeper levels of complexity and depth as it opens up, delivering a wondrous drinking experience.

@beergoot - was walking through Clark University around 1968 and stumbled upon Albert King playing a free concert outside. Wow, the man was a player - no bullshit boutique amplifiers and guitars, just honest music on a Gibson Flying V.

Paulaner Salvator alongside Laphroaig Quarter Cask. I'm enjoying this pair.

On the music front: Back in the stone age, before my wife and I met, she had made herself a mix CD of punk cover songs that was fantastic except for a couple major flaws: She didn't know the names of the bands for most of the songs, and many of the tracks were broken, with infuriating skips or glitches or just cut off half way through. I first heard this maybe 15 years ago, and today, finally, I think I have identified the actual artists on each of the tracks. I include for you the last two identified.

I can find nothing credible about the first band, "My Gay Uncle," (I wouldn't call this weird-ass last.fm wiki entry "credible") -- but "Black Train Jack" seems to have been an obscure but reputable band (they were mentioned in a Wikipedia article about the Mighty Mighty Bosstones' Hometown Throwdown). I just listened to the one album they made that is available on Spotify, and I both enjoyed it and was surprised at the range of styles.

We also have big maples, when one peels off it’s heartbreaking.

Drekker Strawberry Cobbler Slang Du Jour Sour à la Mode, 8.0% ABV. Pours thick and murky medium red, with a one-finger off-white head that left puree residue. Nose is light strawberry, granola, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Taste follows plus vanilla, equally sweet and tart. Excellent thick and smooth mouthfeel, overall outstanding.
