I think that's a valid statement. I've also seen BB King a few times, but I think BB was somewhat of a one trick pony, but I still loved his playing. Really, it's like comparing Hondas, Toyotas and Kias. All a matter of preference. It comes down to whoever speaks to you through their music. As beloved as Stevie Ray Vaughn is, his music just never spoke to me, always seemed kind of cold to me.

Pfizer shot #2 did not bother wife and I other than a sore arm for two days. Younger folks like you usually have a worse reaction than older folks.

I am glad though that you got vaccinated. You did a good thing not only for yourself but your community which probably includes susceptible folks.

I know what you mean. Personally, I prefer his brother Jimmie's guitar playing. Not as flamboyant and rocking as Stevie, but way more emotion squeezed out of those lines he plays...

If you don't have one, you need one of these - perfect for measuring the string height from the top of the fret to the string. I use it anytime I'm trying to adjust the truss rod.. It takes the guess work out of the equation.

I saw Freddie King in concert in NYC. I cannot remember the year but I think it was in the late 1960s. He was the backup band for the band I cannot remember. Common thread is I cannot remember. What the hell would cause that?

I’ve got to admit I am not in the SRV fan club. Was he talented? Absolutely, but just doesn’t work for me.

BB? I’ve seen him in big amphitheater sheds. And? Who could care less. But, I also saw him in back to back shows during a single night at the Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville. For those that don’t know, that’s a small sports bar next to Wrigley Field. He was a showman second to none. I’ll never forget him grabbing a chair to sit in halfway through the first set while saying “I’m not old, just tired.” RIP BB.

    Who are you?

I got to say thanks to you again for your making the @scream tribute a reality on Saturday.

Not only this but I am thankful for folks like you that have served. Father-in-law did 27 years in the Air Force. Korea and Vietnam. My dad did four years in WWII. From North Africa all the way. to Germany.

    we are cool, right?
