Single hop beers for tasting party?

Following.

 

Spiteful Alley Time is all Simcoe, I believe.

I think Lizard King might have Amarillo in it too, but I'm not sure. Also, Beer Hates Astronauts is usually released early June, just once, so it could be harder to plan to include.

 

Phase Three has done some single hop IPAs (and DIPA, DDH DIPA, etc. versions of the base beers). I believe that Pixel Density is the only year-round one.

I’m pretty sure they also did simcoe and galaxy beers, but I haven’t seen them in a while.

 

Une Annee does single hop beers fairly regularly.

 

I thought SNPA also used Magnum hops.

Saint Errant just released Tu Meke, a hazy IPA with Riwaka hops. I'm not sure if it's 100% Riwaka but definitely prominent

 

Zombie dust is not exclusively citra hopped, it just "showcases" them.

It looks like Mikkeller has a line of single-hop beers if you can find their stuff. Maybe others in the list are more easily found.

 

Mikkeller single hop IPAs used to collect dust on shelves here for years. I don’t recall seeing them around for a while though, but I also haven’t looked.

 

Yeah current Pixel has passed Pseudo Sue as a Citra beer. Check 1,2 works well as a bigger beer too.

Side note, Hop Butcher is the only brewery I know that did an all Sandro beer but I never had it as a one off

 

HB Galaxy Bowl is single hopped with Galaxy, I believe. Mikerphone Poetic Hustler is single hop Nelson Sauvin. Not sure when/where to get those though.

I think the last 5 Finger Hop Punch was single hop Nelson as well. I have one can left if you want it, it's pretty good.

 

Last released in July of 2020, according to their website...wonder if we'll have another batch coming this summer!

 

Tighthead Brewing has a single hop series they release occasionally. Looking at their social media the last one appears to have been 'Everybody Loves Ekuanot' earlier this year. I've only had Everybody Loves Idaho 7 and enjoyed it as a showcase for the hop.

 

Founders does a Centennial IPA and Mosaic Promise.

I'm pretty sure permanent funeral is all citra.

Maplewood has a few, released sporadically (dripping citra, sabro transit authority, melting Mosaic)

 

For the Saaz category, Dovetail's Pilsner qualifies!

We have several single hop beers:
Vienna Lager (Styrian Golding)
Helles (Saphir)
Lager (Tettnang)
Czech Dark Lager (Saaz)
Hefeweizen (Tettnang)

 

Love that beer, going to get more today.

 

Arrogant Bastard is a really poor point of comparison to highlight a hop relative to all these other brews. It's a monster of a beer and nothing like the others on your list. There's got to be a better chinook exclusive brew with lighter malt, but one's not coming to my mind at the moment.
