Drekker Chonk Sundae Sour Mango/Marshmallow, 7.2% ABV. Pours thick and bright opaque orange, with no head and no lacing, only puree residue. Looks like orange juice, great camouflage for a morning beer, and no pulp! Nose is a wonderful mango and marshmallow/vanilla. Taste follows, equally tart and sweet. Excellent thick and smooth mouthfeel. Overall world-class.

Surprised I get to kick this off, usually someone beats me to it. I have the day off so figured I'd have the breakfast of champions! Waiting for the carpet installers to arrive, yet more remodeling during my COVID WFH banishment, day 398 of my captivity. We're replacing carpet on one level after 25 years. Our platform bed had been in place for 25 years, leaving an indelible impression on the carpet/pad.

It's barely noticeable. Just put a beer fridge in the room to draw one's focus away from it.

[IMG] Poured into a 13 oz long stem tulip canned on 2/25/21. Pours a hazy yellow orange with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves small thin bubbles of lace, with excellent retention. 4.5

Aroma is mandarin, mango, pineapple, peach, coconut, apricot, and grapefruit rind. 4

Taste follows mandarin, mango, peach, pineapple, coconut, apricot, and a hint of grapefruit. 4

Mouthfeel is above average, soft gentle carbonation, a tad sticky but not dry, and at 8.5% really easy drinking. 4.5

Overall this is a really nice NEDIPA, thanks again @jzeilinger for this can. 4.25 Cheers all

(You Should) Smile More! A West Coast IPA brewed as a collaboration for Pink Boots Society.
info on the 2021 collaboration is below.

    https://reubensbrews.com/beer/you-should-smile-more/

It’s very mild for an IPA but I likey!
    Got a 4pack at Bad Jimmy’s Tuesday.
I won’t “pop a top” till later today but pretty sure their gonna go down good in our sunny weather!
There is not a review of the 2021 brew so I intend to pour a review pint later and share.

PS: without looking ...anyone know/guess why the brew is named this way?
    Cheers

Funny how that goes, one can drink a Macro, enjoy it and not keel over dead. Everything in its place, it’s not trying to be anything but what it is.

Well, in my partner's feminist circles, "You Should Smile More" is taken (rightly, I think) as a pretty chauvinist statement, something men say to women they don't know while passing them on the street. I'm guessing that since it's a Pink Boots collab, it's sort of a sarcastic toss-back.

[IMG] Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass canned on 3/3/2021. Pours a cloudy orange with a 2 plus finger head that leaves thin streaks of lace with solid retention. 4.25

Aroma is honeydew, peach, passionfruit, pear, and apricot. 4

Taste follows honeydew, passionfruit, peach, pear, and apricot. 4

Mouthfeel is medium, soft mouthfeel, not dry or sticky, and at 7% ABV it may drink a little bit bigger, but it goes down easy. 4

Overall this is a nice slightly odd NEIPA that I rather enjoyed. Thanks @jzeilinger for hooking me up. 4

    @Peach63

funny. I drink mostly......like I’d say 9/10 is lagers. I love German styles and euro lagers. I’ve been getting into neipa but Carlsberg is a go to for me. I planned on picking some up tomorrow. I love that beer and in comparison to things like Heineken and let’s say Grolsch and the like, Carlsberg is far superior and is not bland in comparison. Funny how different tongues perceive things
