I liked On and On, but I wholeheartedly agree. I thought DT had much more complexity.

It would depend on how "happy" I wanted to get, and how quickly I wanted to get there. DT is a sipper. On and On is dangerous, you can gulp that stuff.

I'm extremely happy to report back that the burger from the brewpub is so much better than when I had it last winter before they closed up. It almost made me not miss the Hero Burger, but I won't go that far

I recently enjoyed a Sun Crusher draft at GRF. Crushable but more hoppy than my memory allowed. Very happy to re-visit it

Thought Cuvee was a very nice and complex beer. Glad I got a chance to try it but I'm satisfied with only having it on draft.

The Sanctuary beer was a treat as well, it oddly reminded me a bit of Deth Weaver since the raisin notes were so strong. The after taste of sweet chocolatey notes was fantastic. Very good beer.

Anyone know if Sanctuary will still be on tap today? They haven't updated the draft list yet, so wasn't sure if it kicked last night.

If anyone is in Lexington, IL (by Bloomington-Notmal) at Kemp's Upper Tap they have 2019 Boss Ryeway on tap. $13 for a 12 ounce pour

Today was my first Deep Woods release & holy crap was that smooth & easy despite not being able to make my original pick up time yesterday. Very quick pickup despite also getting a crowler so he had to go inside to grab it.

Along with the CdG & crowler I also grabbed the Deep Woods mystery bag getting a 2018 Deth's Tar & 2020 Straight Jacket

I love it when bars in smaller towns get kegs of high alcohol/BA stuff from the big cities. Sometimes they don't have glasses smaller than 12oz or 16oz to serve it in.

I had the opportunity to drink a full pour of Sanctuary 24: Deth Jacket today, and damn. It did not taste 18% at all. I just finished a 2021 Cuvée de Grâce. It kinda makes me think of 2020 Deth’s Tar v 2021 DBVSOD, and not in a bad way. Both are beverages are great individually, but both take things to a level you didn’t know existed.

Kudos Marty, Ed, Victor, and anyone else I missed.

Cracked an On & On part 1 last night. I think I understand the why they named the beer On & On now… There’s so much rye in the base beer on top of the rye notes from the Willet barrels the rye flavors just keep going on and on and on.

It confuses me how people have said that On & On was fairly tasteless or bland or insert other descriptive word used that was posted earlier on in this thread.

Perhaps there was so much rye that it gave you a palate fatigue?

i’m just curious if On & On is that polarizing for some people?

I honestly did not have this experience at all. I mean, I thought it was a good beer, but my cans had very little rye bite (especially compared to this year’s Ryeway). I wonder if there’s some can variation.

Again, I never said it was bland or tasteless (I don’t really recall anyone saying that), I just said that I think DT is much more complex than the cans I had of On & On. I’d much rather drink Repo Man over O&O again honestly, but I’m admittedly a big RM fan. Wish it was a regular.

I wouldn't call it "polarizing" necessarily, that usually means people liked it or hated it. It seems to me that most people's reactions were "liked it" or "it's OK I guess," not a lot of haters.

As someone who liked On & On, I do understand why the "meh" people had that reaction. It's not really bland or tasteless, just not as intense as most BA stouts.
