Short's Brewing (2021)

Big Bird Blood is tasting great, also picked up my Anny Pack and already ordered my free t shirt. The triple ipa is getting cold, looking forward to trying it

 

Sounds awesome, I have to wait until Friday. I have the time off since I was going to go to the Anni Party this weekend, so I ordered through S-mart. It'll be me, the wife, some Short's bombers, and a hot tub at Shanty Creek.

 

We are doing the same. Staying at Stone Waters Inn and celebrating the anniversary party in Bellaire. Maybe we end up crossing paths.

 

Haha, I'll be the guy with a Tiger's cap sipping real ales at the pub and ordering growlers, munching a white pepper.

But more likely than not, I'll have dinner there both Friday and Saturday, so any BAs wanna meet up, I'm down!

 

Sounds like a great weekend, white pepper is great, but don't sleep on sketches of winkle! It became my new favorite last time I was there.

 

Haha, The last time I was there last October was the first time I ordered White Pepper in a long time, since I feel I always get it, although I usually get whatever special is on. Sketches always looked good to me, I'll give it a go this weekend!

 

Already received my free t-shirt from the Anni pack, that was fast!

 

Oh hell yeah. That was one of the first - if not the first - Private Stache released, way back in 2015. I remember because I was going to be at the pub about two or three weeks later and the thing sold out in an afternoon. I'll be happy to cross this one off my must try list.

 

So found out another thing today
If you're in the Bellaire area, just take your Anni Pack postcard with the t-shirt code to the Short's Mart and they can redeem it there! No fuss, no muss.

 

I immediately google'd this and found out it is, in fact, a saying. Although apparently it's usually "No muss, no fuss".

Still no clue what "muss" is, but that's the rabbit hole I'll be descending tonight.

Loving my weekend at Shorts. Here’s to a return to normalcy in 2022 and a real 18th Anniversary party!

 

Brought home some Big Bird Blood, and cracked open the Anni Ale 17 and both have the same issue: roll the bottle gently to evenly distribute the sediment.

It's not such a big issue with BBB since it's 12 oz, only if you drink it straight from the bottle.

The Anni Ale 17 I did refill pours in my glass a couple times and the last pour was sludgey. I had no idea how much sediment there was.

Just wanted to warn y'all.

 

Tried and True sampler pack coming this fall! Cans of Spruce perhaps, should be a nice collection of old favorites.

Michigan only for Critterless. Decent little sour, my wife is a big fan.

 

I'd like to see them slow down on the sours and mix in a Key Lime Pie or Peaches and Cream, the occasional sour is fine but we just had peachy yum yum, been years since the two beers I mentioned have been released.

 

Great Scott! A curious thing is about to hit shelves:

 

I miss Key Lime. I know it's a divisive brew, but I'd like to see it on the shelves once more.
I wonder what the price point on Peaches would be for a limited release? I get the feeling it's either expensive or time consuming to make.
