    Where these available to a limited amout of general public? I thought they were only given to close friends of the brewery?

    not at all. Raffle and then given to people that are friends or associated with the brewery. Crazy limited which is part of what drives the value, whereas there are a lot of side project bottles with equal value that have a lot higher bottle counts
