Thanks for putting the Bock tasting together.

 

@TongoRad gets all the credit for the Bock tasting. Folks should definitely participate! If you haven’t tried a Maibock yet this season, it’s a great excuse to grab one.

 

Got a six of Icehouse last night. Half of the first one went into a pan to boil the brats I had for dinner.

icehouse is supposed to be America’s first ice brewed beer. Milwaukee brewed. 5.5 abv

works for me and is a pretty good lager. I haven’t poured in a glass yet....

 

Good day BAs! Off to another frosty start but at least no snow this morning. Today's New Breakfast Beer, another from @Rub_This_BBQ and NBS BIF #13:



Pretty good scotch ale/wee heavy - a bit of sediment in the second pour and crappy lacing lower the appearance portion of the score - rating 4.16, rDev +6.1%.

Good morning BAs. Starting the day with Ayinger’s Celebrator, a Doppel Bock:



I’ve always enjoyed this beer - malty with a very light brown bread sweetness, hints of prune, and a stone fruit finish. Medium full soft rounded body. Very pleasing rich malty aftertaste. Cheers and have a great Friday y’all!

@sportscrazed2 - I'll include a tamale pic next time, just working through a ten pack of the industrial type Chacgo staple "Supreme Tamale".

If things go right today, I'll be drinking a bock later today at the local brewery. Until then, a close cousin, a Roggenbier, love rye and thus this style, will tie me over.
