Anyone swinging by the taproom to pickup their bottles should know that F&F is selling their large regular pie for $20 today in honor of the "holiday".

 

Are you talking about the Hard Seltzer they put on draft at Domino Park? Lol

I only slice the finest fair trade organic bananas from the most remote atoll on my sugar (HFCS) bomb puffs!

EDIT: and who got a bottle of the that cuvee stout and will share their frank opinion about it?

 

Planning to stop in the taproom tomorrow, will taste and then hopefully buy (and report). Also looking to try out the barleywine situation. I've enjoyed having the ESB in my fridge for those times when I want something different so hoping that will fulfill a similar (albeit higher ABV) purpose.

 

Barleywine? What did I miss.

I had the 'cuvee stout' as a sample during the Upstate brewery takeover. Not as sweet as your standard OH stout, a bit of a cherry/pistachio on the nose and standard thick stout taste. Not a bad stout, but nothing to chase, IMO.

 

Well as it turns out none of the newer releases were on tap yet - which I guess is understandable. I purchased Mo+Mo and will try shortly. I also purchased the barleywine.
However in store I had ACE which tasted metallic and stale, perhaps the taproom offerings aren't ideal with limited patrons. Its tough when you want to be there in person and try the newest stuff but alas its the older stuff still on tap like Mylar Bags, Space Diamonds, and I think even Mosaic and Citra. Good stuff but not as fresh.

Edit: Probably could have just waited five minutes to post this. Mo+Mo is a bit sweet, nothing spectacular. I taste more Mosaic up front.

Picked up some mo + mo and some small simcoe everything today. First time buying other half in a couple months. Had to celebrate the birth of my first child this past weekend, cheers everyone!

I had the great pleasure of meeting one for a pint at Domino Park just a few weekends ago, and the pictures he shared of his newborn were beyond adorable. The deep pride that was fully evident as he shared them and spoke of fatherhood was even more moving.

It's still early days yet, I know, but 2021 is looking better and better all the time...
