I was trying to add a new beer that is listed on the can as a sour IPA. That style doesn't exist in the options. I've had a few listed this way at different places where it's a sour beer with some hops.

In this case, I guessed "wild ale" as none really fit. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/28535/546249/ But having "sour IPA" would help.

I think in the meantime I would add them as American/Imperial/NE IPAs (depending on strength) and add notes to say it's a sour IPA. I do sincerely hope it becomes recognized as a style though, I don't see enough of them and they're always fun to have

I haven't added or reviewed any of them but my wife has been obsessed with a series of sour ipas (as labeled on the can) from Almanac Brewing. Certainly seems like a style that is looking to stick around

Almanac has really good sours, pretty much all we get from them around here are their line of fruited but barrel aged wild ales. Good stuff for sure, I’d love to try their sour IPA if I get a chance

Personal opinion is I think they fall more in line with the Sour - Fruited Kettle Sour category and then they throw some hops in it.

Ya they're about all my wife drinks. Its not a style I gravitate towards but the few I've tried from her have been really well done

No dog in this fight , but if it’s sour wouldn’t that negate pouring on the hops? The star here would seem to be the sour, like Gose, if there’s hops in there who would know? Tastes like seawater mixed with lemon warheads.

Certainly many are on the shelf and becoming popular as are fruited sours. Would like to see it added as a style..Maybe put Milkshake, fruited, and sour IPA'A/DIPA'S as a hybrid style?
