Austin Bro Murk series has been really good. Elephant Juice is really good. They maybe harder to get...but I’ve heard & bought some of these beers when in the SE area....Arvon, Ferndale Project & a newer one in Mothfire

Homes like others commented and I’ll also throw Ferndale Project out there. I’ve been very impressed with some of their stuff.

Thanks. I saw the DDH bottles dropping in Chicago this week. Hopefully we get some.

This brewery is a major sleeper in this category. I was at BAD Brewing this evening and tried their latest entry into the style, Galaxy U A Hop Mess. This one hit every key characteristic that you would expect from a world class NEIPA. I know, I was shocked too. But it really was fantastic. It was a beautiful beer, hazy without being murky or dirty looking. Bright citrus aroma and taste. Medium to full bodied with a pillowy soft mouthfeel. Slight bitterness on the finish. I would put this one right up there with the other highly regarded NEIPAs currently made in the state. I'm interested to see if they will continue to make this beer and if they can reproduce these results.

Was happy to find some Transient sitting on the shelves of a party store here in the UP today. Grabbed some Resinate, not bad at all but can tell the can has some age. When did they start distro this way?

Assume they are having issue selling what they have...

That Jumping on the Bandwagon was completely opposite of the style an pretty nasty imo. Ha dit a couple of times, same experience. I'll have to give this one a shot. I live down the street.

I agree with you about Hoppin' on da Bandwagon. That one is not that good, IMO.

They recently did a cashmere hop version, I love cashmere hops but like mentioned above even the cashmere bandwagon was not good.

That's shocking to me. My parents live near by and I have visited a number of times and I've never seen any evidence that I should expect any beer of top class to come out of that brewery. I'll have to make a trek when I'm visiting this summer

Fair and I was shocked too. Maybe I should have posted 'this beer is a sleeper' instead of 'brewery is a sleeper'. I have been going there a 1-3 times a year for the last 5 years or so and have not thought too much of their IPA's. Some of their darker beers and Belgian styles have been pretty good. I have no evidence to indicate that this is something that can or will be replicated.

Ya that sounds like my feelings on them too. I used to rent a farm in Mason when they first opened and would often go in there after working in the field. Its a nice local.brewpub spot and the beer has always been good enough. Last time I was in there they had just started their line of mixed ferm beers, any idea how that's gone? Hopefully they are just improving and refining their recipes, it would.be great.to see.them emerge as a really solid brewery. Its a cool building and a good location

Tried it after an MTB ride at ICD. It wasn't bad, not in the upper tier but not bad. 7.1.

The lager they've made with Dime's Brewhouse was also good. I have literally felt ill after drinking some of their beers in the past and have stayed far away. These two were a step above their other beers.

Waxed Wings announced they're having their Nazareth November again this year.

For those of you who haven't had a chance to try their IPAs, next month will be a great opportunity.

"Not only will we be releasing Double NNazareth, Triple NNNazareth and NNNN again, but we will also be adding a new member to the Nazareth family."

Got my hands on some Juice is Loose for the first time. It's one of the worse NEIPA's Ive ever had. Was really hoping for more out of that one. On the other hand, their It is what it was beer was damn good.

Just wanted to pop in and thank the State of Michigan for exporting Old Nation cans to Wisconsin. Now I can drink it whenever, rather than it being a special occasion beer I only would have access to, when I make it back to see my family. :heavymetal:
