Oh god, I do love Sofie . . . thank you for that. I had forgotten about her, because she only became available in 12oz bottles in my area just a few months ago. And to be honest, I hadn't seen Sofie bombers in Central NY for a year or two before that. So glad she's back, now.

Just don't take her for granted. The four packs come and go around here, but I found myself missing them when they were gone for a few months. It's my fave of the GI 12ozers.

Yeah. Sofie's great fresh or with a little bit of age (haven't tried it with more than a year or so on it), and Matilda after 1-1.5 years is just f'ing golden.

But, back to Meadowlark. Excited to (probably, hopefully, maybe) see it in my future. And 12oz bottles please, Pretty Things, pretty pretty please.

I've been eyeing up some Matilda bombers that have been sitting in the cooler case since last spring, but there have been a lot of other beers vying for my attention lately. Hopefully it's still there when I get around to it, with a good head start of aging already. It was really good back when it made its first appearance in the store, that's for sure.

I'm with you 100% on both, but will settle for the first part.

I've seen this around a few places in LA, any way to tell how old the bottles are?

    Hi,

A few things. First off, you did read correctly and we're trying to go "year 'round" with the Meadowlark as soon as Galaxy makes it to the US again. We've contracted enough for 1,000 bbls. The beer should be ready next August. Second quick point: our host brewery does not offer the possibility to do 12 ounce bottles, or any format other than 22. They used to have the change-over equipment but no longer do. So you'll never see Pretty Things in any such like.

    Cheers,

    Dann
