Has Rev ever done a coffee Straight Jacket or a heavily dry boutique hopped Straight Jacket?

 

Coffee Straight Jacket I don’t think so. Coffee Institutionalized yes and Toasted Coconut Institutionalized also yes. Those 2 were one time drafts maybe 5 years ago called Gentlemen’s Reserve.

 

Yeah good point. Supermassive was released last June so was thinking (hoping ) the same this year.

 

Yeah, I was gonna say, let's let GI continue to tinker with things and makes products we never really wanted to begin with. Let's let Rev continue to do their thing and crush it pretty much in all aspects. It's hilarious when 1 bottle of KY Fog or #4 is basically the same price as a whole 4 pack of DT, SJ, and Ryeway.

 

The positiveve feedback from Fobab the year they put BCBS Barleywine through a randall with coffee persuaded them to do it. It wasn't bad by any means. Every thing GI does is polarizing. For everyone who likes prop, someone else hates it. For everyone who wants bcbs coffee back, some else says it's a pepper beer.

 

Those people are unsalvageable.

 

listen - I, too, didn’t think coffee barleywine was very good fresh. But whenever I had a bottle last, it was excellent.

and I curse moments like that, because every time I crack a beer with a couple years on it that defies expectations, my “cellar mind” switch flips from “drink it down!” to “your future self will love you if you just hide one more case in deep storage.”

 

Based on the order they're writing out the May releases, my take is that the Deep Woods release is actually July 16.

Hey Team - 5:30pm CST would be a cool time to crack a Cuvée and tune into Instagram Live where Marty will be talking to Creative Oak in Paso Robles, CA where we sourced the supplemental oak for Cuvee. Should be interesting stuff and a sign of many projects to come in the future.
