I mean, I don't think hoarding is necessarily a good thing either, even if it's a local person doing the hoarding.

We're supposed to interact with other regional forums now. Congratulations, you get me.

I simply don't feel I deserve preferential treatment since I've purchased more.

Not interested in addressing why it's okay for you to look for an Anabasis proxy but Revolution VSOJ proxies aren't acceptable?

FYI multi-quote is a feature. Also idk how mid-atlantic forums work, but you're coming in a little hot in the Rev thread. We're pretty fun and have great conversations here but if you want people to engage more I'd try a little softer approach. You're certainly entitled to write whatever you want but if it were me I'd back off a little.

    Dude, chill.

I’m 30+ and I feel that’s all you need to know.

But since you want to be pedantic, I’ll play along for as long as it’s keeping me entertained.
It’s none of my business what other breweries want to do regarding their policy on allowing proxies or not. If I was able to score an Anabasis package and couldn’t find a proxy I’d drive my ass down there and pick it up myself.

But since this is the Revolution thread let’s stay on topic. I don’t think Rev should allow proxies on the more limited releases for reasons I already mentioned(see above). That being said I don’t call the shots, so if Rev decides they want proxies then all I can do is accept it.

Don’t worry, I got some fresh Anti-hero and Rev pils for you. :joy:

Next time I offer to proxy for Rev I’ll make sure to include that Colby600’s need not apply.

VSOJ butt hurt is real for you! I too am all for no out of state proxies. You enjoy your limited release beers from your region and we will enjoy ours in IL. I’m good with one four pack of VSOJ and I’ll be drinking all four of my cans because revs barrel program is as good as it gets for me and I don’t need to trade for anything. Because I’m hard-pressed to find better barleywines in the craft beer world. This isn’t a trade value thing it’s just a good brewery that local support and love to drink their barrel program beers.

Shhhh. Don’t upset his poorly propped up argument about Treehouse BA beers. :joy:

No butt hurt at all. I've had it, it was very good. I just find the entitlement very odd.

You completely missed my point. It was about people thinking they deserve something over others. I don't find TH BA beers all that good, so no need to compare.

Why do you think you deserve access to the beer via a proxy? Tons of beers are released different ways, can't someone express hope that a release will be no proxy, lottery, lining up, etc if they want to?

I don't think I deserve anything. I'm not even trying to buy any VSOJ. Why do you think you're more deserving of a beer than someone else? You live closer so it's yours? I'm also not a hypocrite like some people.

You edited after I responded but this has been beaten to death. You know my opinion on the subject so I'll leave now.

What is your argument? I never said there shouldn't be proxies, just that people are entitled to have an opinion and may hope for different styles of a release.

My point, which you ignored, is why is saying proxies should be allowed (potentially giving people access to a beer) any less entitled than hoping they aren't (potentially giving other people access to a beer). The brewery will say what the release is and we'll all be fine with it.
