    From the VBA:

It has been a hard and challenging year for everyone, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there will be some normalcy in our lives soon. Our beloved Vermont Brewers Festival takes lots of time, work and energy to put on each year – in a normal year, planning would have begun in early January. Now that we are in April and know the state guidelines for gatherings, 3 months to plan an event of this caliber is not possible. Our brewers have been working hard to keep their businesses going through this pandemic and we want to give them the time and space to focus on their brewery this summer. Based on a myriad of factors, we have decided it is best not to host our festival in July 2021. This was a decision that was not made lightly and we hope you can understand it and will continue to support Vermont brewers so we can all get through this together. • Go and visit our brewer’s taprooms, have a beer there or take beer home with you. This is the best way you can support the brewing industry right now. • Remember to pick up your Vermont Brewers Passport or download our app and collect stamps as you visit taprooms to earn beer gear • Stay tuned for smaller events we’ll be hosting throughout the spring, summer and fall • Continue to follow us on social for the latest news and events We hope you as our loyal supporters can understand our position and will join us on the waterfront for our festival in 2022. Thank you for your support of the craft brewing industry in Vermont. We encourage everyone to take good care of themselves and be responsible for their health and the health of those around them. Be well, be smart, and in the meantime, Drink Vermont Beer.

Can't say I'm upset. I'd much rather see more people vaccinated and the cases dropping before we have another VBF. Definitely going to be one of the first to get tickets once it resumes post-pandemic, if so.

I'm sad. Was really looking forward to this again.

Would be kind of cool if an indoor event could be hosted in the winter. However, given the weather in VT winters it could be tough.

A private promoter used to do a winter beer fest inside the Sheraton conference center, but not sure they'll be back.

Move it to a state without COVID restrictions.

seems like an augmented festival could be organized, especially since 7/4 is planned re-opening over there

I was hoping the ME Brewers Guild fest in Portland would come back this year...or Pils & Love!

yea Portland is a little more space limiting obviously. But I think a fest could still be pulled off pretty safely, especially given today's announcement.

    Not cool, man.

There's a reason it's the VERMONT Brewers' Festival.
