I do enjoy a glass or two of the BA version of Black Sun, especially last year's which used Pappy barrels.

Shhhhh! Don't ever post anything like this again. Remember everyone at FFF are a bunch of rude a--holes that do whatever the f--k they want. They don't give a crap about their customers.

I usually have it on tap and/or bottle when it shows up in December, but once maybe twice a year is about it (not including the BA version). I'm sure Black Sun will pop up from time to time just like Lord Admiral Nelson, Calumet Queen, etc.

One of my first thoughts when I saw this switch had been made.

Anyone seeing this on shelves yet? I was hoping to pick up a bottle for someone as a Christmas present.

I've seen the 1st batch sitting on a shelf at a store in NWI but seeing as you're from WI I don't think that'll help you.

It helps. At least I know it's left the brewery. But if anyone sees it in Madison that's even more helpful.

Rye Da Lightning had much better label art as well. Probably one of my favorites from FFF.

Completely disagree. I've had many far superior single rye pale ales, was let down by Lightning (besides awesome name and artwork). But Tiger is one of the better DIPAs I've had from FFF in a while. I do wish they would have reversed the names/artwork for the 2 however.

But that's why opinions are like assholes...

The pub menu was updated 2 days ago -- and didn't list Rye Da' Tiger as available. Typically, once something is available at the brewpub, it starts showing up a week later around Chicago.

I just moved across the river back to WV(a no FFF state) from Ohio(county I was in was dry.. Not reason I moved lol) but I have always went to our other tri state in Kentucky to buy my brews for the simple fact they always have FFF, Founders, Stone type stuff on their shelves. We actually got Calumet Queen this past summer and though I've never really like kolsh it was still pretty cool seeing it. Personally I've Alpha Klaus has always been my FFF December brew of choice or the one I enjoy most even though it is a November release. We run close to a month behind on seasonal stuff anyway so maybe that's why alpha klaus is a November release due to the fact the purchasing runs mainly into December. But that may be my small area way of thinking and giving my area a little too much credit in terms of brewers thinking of us lol. But i bet it's awesome getting that sort of stuff on tap. I own a pizzeria and recently have decided to do craft beer plus my fine pizzas, but in wv the best stuff we get American craft wise is Sierra Nevada and Great Lakes. I wish more of the great brewers would at least allow people like me to offer that sort of stuff on tap even if bottles aren't available.

I didn't have Rye Da Lightening, but no you aren't the only one who didn't care for Rye Da Tiger. This years Alpha Klaus was super delicious.

You sir, are living the dream. Check seekabrew.com for distribution, you are limited but there are some decent beers in WV. Check with the breweries to see who distributors are.

You own a place that sells pizza and craft beer. I would be 400#. It would be awesome.
