We grew up with the bench clearing brawls. My nephews play hockey and they have no time for anything that slows down the game. The NHL is so fast now. Goons are almost gone because they’re a liability. Good riddance in my book.

If you’re ever in the LA/OC area, let me know! Micah got to experience original Club Raul at my old place. Moving into an area with less beer options - and now living with my girlfriend of course - Club Raul has not been as rambunctious. But it’s all good.

I’m almost 4 weeks post op. Feel pretty good (ready to get the damn stitches out), and I’m walking without crutches here and there (but I still have to rely on them the majority of the time). My pre surgery pain is 100% gone. Now it’s just the long process of the nerve getting situated and being happy once again. Thanks for asking. Means a lot!

 

My first hockey game I ever went to featured Teddy Green and Eddie Shack having a stick fight in the Old Boston Garden from the penalty boxes. Someone thought it was a good idea to put the boxes right beside each other.

I met Hulk Hogan once. My daughter and wife were on The Today Show the same day he was. He's really tall. He was in the green room for a few minutes when we were in there.

 

I love everything about it. I can't believe it spent over four years in a barrel. Hands down my fave BA maple stout. I think if you open it you'll be glad you can still get your hands on more (still at the Denver location), had six more picked up today.

 

With no frame of reference for the brewery except this one bottle..
A good Stout with a heavy barrel (whiskey) presence. Expected given its 12.5%ABV. I fear anything favored with coconut, but they handle it very well by using it as a compliment to the barrel flavor. Lack of carbonation and modest nose. Reminds me a lesser Black Note. That shouldn’t be viewed as a negative as I very highly regard Black Note.
