Maybe they’re focusing on getting Brighton up and running and/or having more offered on draft and the cans being more for distribution as the pandemic winds down?

Speaking of cans availability, is there a store near I-91 that has Notch and some other regional non-IPA beers like Fox Farm?

If any place had Notch out near 91 it'd be Provisions in Northampton. Fox Farm doesn't distribute, so you're out of luck on that one unfortunately.

Thanks! I guess my only option for Fox Farm is to stop by then.

Seriously- I got some month old Dog and Pony and the zwickle in my subscription box last month- they are both good, but I am looking for something more than I can easily buy at a half rate packie.

Previous to Covid we canned one new beer a month in Salem. Covid hit and every single beer went to cans (6 to 8 per month) as we did not open the tap room until last month. So all production is shifting back to draft and we will be returning to one or two new canned beers per month. No one cared about our cans previous to Covid, and we literally could not sell a 10bbl batch of our lager before it was a month old and someone complained it was long in the tooth. We are doing what we can to come back from a really long year. Hang in there.

Thanks for the reply- Do you foresee the monthly subscription program continuing?

A- overall score for me. Couple points deducted for calling out other breweries for making vacuous statements (totally fair) and inserting some CYA sentences about previously being "in compliance" from an HR standpoint. You can't have both. Still, half-jokes aside, definitely need more of this and less posi-vibes type brewery posts for sure.

Rauchbier on tap at the brewery...

Also notice a beefed up tap list lately. Definitely looks like things are shifting to draft only now.

Fine with me, especially with the Brighton location opening!

Possibly the only good thing about the return to commuting into Cambridge from central Mass is the opening of the Brighton location.

Yes! As much as I'll miss going to Salem and drinking on the water and the convenience of cans, which I imagine will dry up a bit with draft expansion, a 15 minute car ride/30 minute bike from Arlington to Brighton will definitely beat the 45 minutes to Salem when we were in Cambridge.

The Brighton move is the most lateral of lateral moves from where I am. It takes the same amount of time for me to get to either place and, as city-averse, I suspect it's Salem for me.

Absolutely. We are shifting to canning a few Bbls of some beers just for the subscriptions, with maybe some lefty over for a day or two from the brewery.

It wasn't a cover your ass statement, but the opposite, as it was showing that sometimes following what is considered solid HR protocol is not enough. I'm owning it, as we could have done better and I'm hoping that sharing stories like these brings awareness that we all need to improve.

Now, I just need the state emergency lifted so it doesn't take 15-30 just to get an Uber/Lyft (if you can even get one)...

Coopers Corner in Florence. No FF but Some Notch
and Schilling. Good variety, singles are not a big upcharge.

Thanks! I'm probably out of luck with Notch since canning is winding down and I'm not going to be traveling for another two months, but I'll certainly check then.

I would love to sit near the bar and listen to people try to order this beer.
