Since I’m just slightly beyond noob status, anyone remember when Stout week is for SP? I’ve heard it’s the same time every year, and would be cool to carve out a time to visit close friends.

complimentary Marietta Ave pours added to the Cellar draft list

 

someone on FB said they were told Cellar opening June 2 and there was a soft opening last night

 

There’s an MJK Untappd checkin from yesterday with a picture inside the cellar, so the soft opening last night is definitely true.

 

They have to train all of the new staff with live customers. So by invitation soft-reopenings last night, tonight, and tomorrow. Look for an official announcement soon about reopening to the public next week.

Yes, The Side Project Cellar will reopen to the public next week (early June)!
We are doing some Friends & Family Soft Openings this week to train staff and get our feet wet back behind the bar again. We are super excited to almost officially be back open! YEA!!!! Thank you!

I wonder if this will be the end of online sales. Can't have a good tap room experience with bottles everywhere.

 

Online sales only go away if they can do onsite announced releases at the brewery. And even then, I'd imagine that they won't go away completely. There will be bottles that will be onsite only or La Coterie and onsite only. DB Anabasis is an example of a bottle that would have been onsite only last year. LC got it but there wasn't enough for every member. The online releases will probably have smaller bottle counts as well. Less will get bottled as they will be filling kegs with some. What does get bottled will have some portion reserved for onsite sales.

 

Well... maybe I need to make a small trip over to St. Louis again.
