I’ve not been here in some weeks. To start I’ve cut back drinking a lot. I feel a lot better in life and may not be back anytime soon although an occasional beer may be nice.

I’m here right now because for the past 7 years the relationships I’ve made here mean a lot so raise a beer. For sleep deprivation. And family, for my new daughter.

Born yesterday perfectly healthy. Only took 10 minutes for her to make an appearance.





I appreciate this place. No beer. Just a tiny human I helped make.

Wild Sox game last night. Up 7-2, only to surrender 6 runs to the Tigers in the 7th. Sometimes I think Tony pulls his starter too soon. But it's the bullpens job to preserve a 5 run lead. Sox had to win in bottom of ninth. Cheers! With a Chicago brewed, Goose Island Sox Golden Ale.

It’s the first really hot weekend of the summer. I’m
at Slack Tide Brewing (taking a break from painting deck furniture), drinking one of my favorite Black IPAs, Knock Down. I love that they brew a batch of this beer during the summer. Cheers!
