My average has been skewed by the purchase of a case of BCS and a case of CW BBS in the past week. (I try to keep it around $50 per week.)

BREAKING NEWS!!!! Stephen Nieman is disenfranchised with the Chicago beer culture!

Seriously though, the big news will come out when it comes out.

You do get two chalices. Most Belgian chalices are going to run about $10 or so. I'd figure the beer itself to be about $65 about $1.03/oz., however, just my opinion.

To be completely frank, I find this statement to be ridiculously arrogant and inaccurate. I know several people who have been craft beer drinkers for over 15 years, including me, that have never tried Westy 12. Did I wait in line this morning? No, but I would have if I thought it was going to be necessary. Did I buy a brick? Yes.

I've never put much effort in obtaining it since I figured it would come my way eventually--most brews do if you're patient. Also, I wasn't willing to incur the expense (over 20 euro for a single bottle). To say that people don't know "whatsup" is fairly insulting. As pointed out earlier in this thread, most BA beers are running $1 an oz, some even more. Calculate the cost per oz. for the Bruery's BA stuff. In my opinion, an extremely well-made Belgian quad is going to kick the ass of half of the latest hotshot, hyped-up, Bourbon bombs out there. Westy 12 has always been trumpeted to be top of the heap. Perhaps it's the "craft beer n00bs" that can't appreciate that? Just something to think about.

PlayaPlaya is currently swimming through Westy 12 Bricks and Cherry Rye bottles like he's in Scrooge McDuck's vault.
