I’m so confused by the forever names now. The single hop coming out of dc are forever____. It’s like the Brooklyn all or small ____ everything. Except forever Simcoe is an OG Brooklyn beer that is basically all Simcoe everything, no? Throw forever ever in the mix and a couple chromas next to some small everything’s and I’m all mixed up. Space = galaxy. Cut = strata?. Wait what’s gems equal? daydream = lactose. But mosaic dream doesn’t have lactose.

I think gems is DC Galaxy, while diamonds is BK Galaxy.

OH beer names is it's own language with tons of irregulars.

 

Yeah they really dove head first into naming messes when they started replicating the same sort of beers all over and slightly changing the names to things they sort of used before. Obviously you can't predict the future and how much expansion you will have but its confusing with names sometimes. That being said All Simcoe is "basically" Forever Simcoe, Forever Simcoe is OG and as @SeanEDPBK said I would kill for a peak DDH Forever Simcoe batch right now.

I gave up a long time ago

 

Went to grab some cans today and noticed a sign that vaccinated patrons need not wear a mask. I know a lot of breweries had some long winded posts about this, but I must have missed it if OH did so. Anyway it was the first time I had a face to face interaction in a venue where neither of us were wearing masks and it felt great. Summer of '21 is going to be wild people.

 

Speaking of, @algebeeric_topology do we know when the send off/meet up is going to be?

 

The Rothaus collab is amazing. So happy I splurged and got 3 4-packs because that it something I never do. I still can’t believe Rothaus collabed with anyone. It’s an amazing pilsner and I’m beyond happy to get the chance to buy it (and, more importantly, drink it).

 

COVID's been an abject nightmare on so many levels, but it has done at least one good thing—by providing us with the opportunity to appreciate anew all the people, experiences, and privileges we'd always taken for granted.

Now let us never forget that, lest all the suffering be in vain...

 

Is OH still doing the pop-up in Monroe? I didn't see anything in the Foreign Objects IG last week, and it's a two hour ride to get there. Still closer than BK...

 

I could get down with that, I would get there a bit later potentially but that would work for me. OG location I presume?

 

As of last weekend they still are... it seems FO is now deleting the posts off their IG aside from the day of for whatever reason. I went the week before last, lots and lots of variety but not necessarily 100% of what is available in BK (likely missing hyped collabs, etc.), and when in doubt ask to check the can date as there were a few that were definitely 4+ weeks old.

 

I would be driving in, so either works for me, but if there are going to be a handful of people joining I am okay with whatever the majority would want!
