I concur. Like liquid Aspirin. Face searing bitterness. After a few weeks it’s really developed some flavor though.

I've heard a LOT of flavor descriptors over the years...but to give credit where it's due, this is the first time I can ever recall hearing 'liquid aspirin' as one.

I recall the whisky writer Jim Murray commenting on a shared thought among whisky journalists that the most difficult part of their job was coming up with new descriptive phrases for their reviews.

I'd rather classic ruination over ruinten. I would have loved to see double bastard or old Guardian too just because they haven't been released in ages. Liquid poem is good, and a nod to the ruin family but not quite the same. Could always be my palate and memory of course and I went through the 6 pack quickly so no real complaints other than I want OG ruination.

Beers I would have loved to see come back are Smoked Porter w/ vanilla, original Ruination, Old Guardian, original Pale Ale, Double Bastard, Lucky Bastard, Southern Charred (2012 version), Double Bastard in the Rye and Double Bastard - Brandy Barrel Aged.

I’m surprised they haven’t discontinued the standard IPA yet and replaced it with another hazy.

Maybe not the spot to ask but does Arrogant Bastard still come in 16oz cans? I have only seen bottles in the last few months and won’t pay more for 12oz $13.99 bottles than 16oz cans $11.99 for 6 pint cans. Strange pricing.

If this size package is gone my Stone purchases are as well. The last product I still buy regular, really at all.

    Enjoy

I also haven't seen it in 16oz cans in awhile and would buy a pack now and then. No way I am paying more for the new format neither.

    Cheers

I believe it’s only offered now in 12 oz bottles, 19.2 oz can, 22 oz bottle and draft.

That’s a shame. Very good beer and the 6x16 was priced really well. The other sizes are not.

Goodbye Stone. It was fun while it lasted.

    Enjoy

I don't think all the stores have caught up on the sizes and prices. I often find the 19.8 oz cheaper per oz than the 12 oz bottles.

    As it should be, no?

I can look and see what the 19 is priced at. Not seen that size yet in AB. I did see Allagash white in that size for $2.99 and that’s a bit cheaper than a six pack as I do the math right now.

    Enjoy
