I really dig their beers but it's darn near impossible to find any of their D-IPA's fresh. On the other hand, their Stouts are always amazing too.

 

Yes, at sunrise. Was hard to see in my neighborhood, by the lake would have been ideal.

Brewer Notes:
BITTER SAISON WITH GALAXY HOPS AND WILDFLOWER HONEY
6.7% ABV

Bright tropical fruit flavors of dried mango, lychee, and catty sauvignon blanc grapes. Bitter grip, but with a soft tartness and a creamy honey meringue head.

From the Outer Edge of Inner Space is a 6.7% ABV mixed culture saison made with Galaxy hops and wildflower honey. This beer features in your face tropical fruit aromas—dried mango, passionfruit, and lychee are front and center, with a softer bouquet of grapefruit zest and floral rose perfume revealing itself as the beer warms. On the palate the bright fruit continues with flavors of ripe pineapple, catty sauvignon blanc grapes, and Asian pear. Notes of white peppercorn and faint honey linger in the background. An homage to the aggressive west coast IPAs that originally drew me to craft beer, From the Outer Edge of Inner space is assertively bitter and will grip your palate. Though technically bone dry, the complexity in fruit character lends a perceivable sweetness to the beer. Soft acidity, medium-full body, and a creamy honey-meringue head further bring the beer into balance, resulting in an effervescent and highly drinkable beverage.

Appearance: Golden yellow clear pour, light carbonation, bright white head leaves creamy bright white fine lacing. Looks great. 4.25

Aroma: Bursting with aroma, lemon, mango, tangerine complement the wonderful saison yeast. Honey backs well, this all comes together wonderfully. Can’t wait to dive in. 4.25

Taste: Consistent with aroma but bolder and sweeter. Peach, honey, lemon, grapefruit leaf, the hops provide a countering bitterness. The yeast is more subdued than the nose leads, but brings a wild funky mix to the table. Light pear backing as well. Delicious. 4.5

Mouthfeel: Light, crisp and clean. Light carbonation throughout, dry, balanced between the sweet flavors and hip bitterness. Funky. Easy drinking, slightly dry aftertaste. 4.25

Overall: This is a wonderful saison, bursting with flavor, funky, complex, light and easy body and drinking. Perfect for a beautiful Summer day. 4.25

Pineapple with a trace of skunky in the nose. Juicy pineapple taste. Not full or fluffy, so just right for me. I like this hazy. Cheers y’all!
