But isn't it the deal in Illinois that a brewery (MillerCoors) can't own a distributor? That's why there's the tension in the first place, in the eyes of the ILCC, about Windy City and Two Brothers being (somewhat) related? There was the whole lawsuit stemming from AB trying to buy River North, right?

 

Thanks to Vav and the LP crew for making the Westvleteren XII release a smooth one. Vav said he a lot and he was not kidding. Got there at 8:40 and in and out quickly once they opened up, with some other nice things I was looking for. Worth the drive in from the north burbs.
Splitting mine with another BA. Happy to have the chance to try this - probably a one time deal. Is it worth the cost? I'll know after I open one up ! But I think I will be happy I picked this up.

And yes, here in Dekalb, we did get some. No lines either.

no you dont, go to ebay or something and buy the good one with the green logo. These glasses are small and kinda chintzy.

As stated previously in the thread, Westy XII is a shelf beer in DeKalb. The good stores stock it next to CBS, Cherry Rye, Rare, and Vanilla. No lines ever.

Well, actually, there is one store with CBS left, but no rare or vanilla. Cherry Rye, don't know if its still on the shelf.

I never expected this thread to become so entertaining.

 

While spending 5 years in Dekalb getting a degree in Engineering, I learned the city and the surrounding liquor stores very well. I befriended most liquor store managers and many knew me by name. With this I call 100% bullshit on this kid. He is a troll, and a very bad one indeed. CBS still on shelves, my god you are full of it. I will be ignoring him, i suggest you all do as well.

Lets say you did and you somehow drank them all. Then why not go pick up the CBS and trade that. Yet, you go for 12 BCBS.

Funny because you guys have been guessing left and right as to where I get my beer, but nobody has even named ONE of the spots I buy from. Hint: As I told Breakinbad, my main spot I pickup from isnt even a store. (And cbs is in a store, but its not on the shelf, and you won't to buy any just because you ask for it or the manager knows your name; spend $1,000/wk for a year and then maybe they'll tell you aboot their cellar).

What do I know though....I've never drank anything other than Coor Light

5 years?? I have to say, it helps to of been born and raised here and related to the few people that govern this tiny town.
