I have all kinds of shit out and Im half baked- half from brews and half from sun. Prob going to have to get stoned. Oh well. Problems....

Greetings from the Dirty Jerz. With every can of this DIPA from Ludlam Island Brewing I drink I like it more. Big, dense, flavorful, and potent. Like a 2x4 across the forehead. Love it! I just wish it were year 'round. I'm hoping there are still cans available in 2 weeks. Cheers!

 

One more Lager before some burgers and dogs and grilled veggies. Cheers!

 

What we need here is more Wilco, I could listen to Tweedy all day. Cheers

 

Schlafly IPA, about to fire up the grill, pork steaks & brats. Was tempted by the ribeyes & then looked at the price & muttered some obscene words & decided the other white meat was the better choice

Took a tour of browns, starting with Black Sheep from Arrowood...

This was last night - I'd had it before and liked it - tastes like a hybrid of American and English brown ales - lots of dark nut impressions, and mildly sweet roasted brown malts...

Earlier today checked out Newburgh's Brown Ale...

Warmer and sweeter, very rich and rewarding - soft and brown bready...

And finishing up with American Brown Ale from Good Nature Brewing...

Fantastic - not-too sweet, hint of char on the roasted malts, earthy and deep, wonderful balance between bitterness and warm brown malty roast...

Actually I just finished that as I was posting - got a gin and soda in hand now...

Crisp and clean and dry - fantastic follow to the sweet dark malts...

I was on call for work today, so just now cracking my first beer of the day. Figured I’d make it a good one!

Out of the pool to get the steaks ready for the grill and to pour this one.

RIP Ned Beatty. When they think of him, a lot of people think of Deliverance, or the first two Christopher Reeve Superman movies, or like my brother, as “The Big Man” in Homicide: Life on the Street. Me, I think of the monologue from one of the greatest written movies ever (this scene got him an Oscar nomination for supporting actor).

 

Well, it feels like the inside of a dishwasher on “Heat Dry cycle” outside. Got to love Georgia humidity...
