It’s on the other side of the same block as HPB.

Wait, does that mean a soft opening is going on this week or was that from the event they held this past weekend?

I believe they had a friends and family type thing where some folks were invited

Grand opening this Saturday per the IG post.

Really wish there was a soft opening just to avoid the day one crowds and just be able to chill without worrying about getting jostled around.

Yeah wondering when might be a good time to go. Definitely gonna check it out this weekend though. Maybe Sunday to wait for some crowds to die down

Only benefit will be being able to purchase certain on-site bottles.

Went and tried every single one of the 21 taps, and then some bottles to boot.

I can safely say Homage is my favorite brewery alongside SARA. Astonishing beer.

For those who went today, how were the crowds?

It was busy. I left around 5pm but it was pretty crowded. Not nearly as bad as I expected, though. And not any worse than Monkish was yesterday.

I am really looking forward to spending more time there. Hopefully their taplist stays dynamic and interesting.

Dropped by Chinatown yesterday in the late-afternoon. It was busy but not too busy that you couldn't find a seat or had to wait long to put in your order. The space is a lot bigger than I thought it would be and the second floor seating was a nice touch.

The only downside was that the to-go bottles and cans all sold out during the grand opening.

Whoops, yeah. Either way, they were all sold out.

Went back yesterday for the release and tried several of their taps again. They might be my favorite brewery already.

Color Orange is an orange wine beer hybrid and has amazing funk and vinous qualities, lightly carbonated. Melange de Chenes is basically a gueuze, and a superlative one at that. Their Kriek is world class... Reality in Motion is jammy and funky without being too tart. All of their beers have this salinous quality, and are balanced to perfection, and use aged hops fantastically well. Outer Range is one of the tastiest stouts I've ever had. Rainmaker was a beautiful, clean expression of citra and mosaic. Les biers Petites is a brett citra pils that is just crisp and bright, and funky. Daily Routine is one of my favorite pilsners ever, with a vegetable cucumber-beet note and bright hop metallic quality. Fumee Blanc was incredibly complex, best use of strawberry in a beer I've had, blended wonderfully with sauv blanc. Flower Called Nowhere is one of the most interestingly aromatic wild saisons ive ever had. And Playground Love had some of that kriek qualities with the earthy tannins of pinot noir. Sublime.

Everything they had on the menu was stellar, everything. I don't think I've experienced a brewery of this consistency, not even Sante or Hill Farmstead. Genuinely flabbergasted.

Wow, that's some high praise there. I've only been to their Pomona location a few times to drink, and their beers have been very good. Went by their Chinatown spot a week or so ago (to go to HPBC around the corner), but that was a couple of days before they opened. Looking forward to visiting the new location soon.
