Yup, but only the case for the core beers....all the others are by the 4 pack.

I was there yesterday at about 2 pm to just pick up a small can order. It was so busy I had to park in the lower lot. When I walked up the hill, I was greeted with a line which extended from the bar all the way to the middle of the parking lot. I almost just walked back down the hill and left. But, that was just the pour line thankfully. Can line was pretty short, but a big crowd waiting for their cans. Took probably 15 minutes to put my order together.

Is it possible to do the visit without spending much time - ideally zero time - on a smartphone once there?

I'm a person who really prefers to leave my phone off and ideally locked in the car when I go out for dinner or drinks with people. My phone is connected to my work as well as all kinds of other distractions - over the last couple of years I've found that when I have it out, I can't stay in the moment or keep focused on the company I'm in, no matter how hard I try. I get sucked in to checking scores, reading emails, etc. - all stuff I don't really want to be doing, but just can't seem to avoid once the phone is out.

I understand the need for smartphone ordering systems that establishments put in place for COVID, but I really hope they go away now, as the last thing I want to do when I'm trying to relax on the weekend is stare at my phone to look at menus/place orders.

I'd be disappointed if future trips to TH for cans and pours meant I had to use my phone a lot while there. I'm fine with placing an order in advance online, but I really don't want to have to pull out my phone to do something like pay for a second beer if I decide to have one.

This should be resolved given how many taps they have now. There's the old bar and the new even bigger one which I counted 48 taps on. They also have a smaller bar in a room off to the side which looks like a private event area, but I don't see why that wouldn't be accessible to the masses on a very busy day if no event is booked.

I still saw some flaws that I don't know how they can address (I'm sure they have ideas and will test things). For example you still needed to wait in a line to buy pour tickets, and then the bar line to get the pour. Also, as mentioned above, waiting in line to give the cashier your order, and then waiting in a separate area until it comes out to you. I was there on a weekday with not many people in line and it was bogged up and took about 20 mins to get my cans. I can't imagine this on a Saturday. This is why the pre-made cases were the only offering when covid happened. It's easier to just stack up pallets of pre-made packages and grab them to load in someone's car than to pick and choose individual cans and make them up on the spot. I remember this being a heated debate a while ago where people were trying to say that it wouldn't save any time either way of doing it (still don't understand how they believe this).

I was there on Friday and ordered pour tickets for my wife and myself online (no line). The order (less than $65) was separate from my can order.

I went last Friday at 5 and had beer in hand after about ten minutes. It is maybe ten minutes with no traffic off the first exit as you cross route 6 on the cape. I live about 20 minutes away but I did not think it was all that hard to navigate to. Once there, you check in on your phone and beer is at your car shortly thereafter. Really easy process.

Yeah you can do that too. But there was a separate line if you wanted to buy draft tickets at the brewery. A large portion of people are not going to assume you can buy the draft tickets online (especially at first).

When you bought them online how did you redeem them? Do you show your phone when you get up to the bar?

It's not a Tree House secret or anything. It's literally posted on their website. Maybe I'm in the minority here but if I'm going to a brewery for the first time and/ or don't know the process, I bring up the brewery's website to find the answers to my questions.

Those who want to wing it can wait in a line to buy their tickets

Yeah. I had the confirmation email up when we got to the front and just showed my phone. Felt easy enough for me

It is easy. But, you must not have any experience with users

It was for just this reason why I went to Deerfield last week. 4 packs of cores, particularly julius.

I really hope they go back to a single can option. I really don't need a 4 pack of double shot but a can or 2 is perfect.

Oh Bright with Nelson, you wore green so you could hide from me. You're lean, you're mean and there was too much time in between releases.

Treehouse upped it to three pours today per person in Charlton. Was a nice surprise for sure.

Don’t sleep on Big Nugget. Bourbon, chocolate and coconut in a glass. I shouldn’t post about their BA/blend stouts so that they’re available for months like this one has been… I feel like other hyped breweries sell out very fast when big stouts are released but not TH

Haven't had that one yet, but yeah the TH stouts are a funny case study in hype. The blended options are some of the best beer anyone is making right now, and yet they sit forever despite the quality and lower pricetag. Call them Madness and Civilizations and HF could sell them for 20+ bucks a 375. The "full" BA versions go fast despite being absurdly expensive. Even if priced identically, Persist, The King, and Blend 2 were all better than Brownie imo, which was the only of the recent expensive ones I've had a crack at.

Also have to laugh at the fb group. Anyone over there posts any qualm with a TH experience and they are immediately roasted alive by people who would fall over backward to defend the brewery's honor. I'm not even not a fanboy, but god I'm cringing at the responses to anyone who dares question the $65 minimum. (Which I think should go without saying is bullshit the second we're ready to call the Massachusetts COVID experience over.)

I was pretty disappointed with The King. Was a muddled mess in my opinion.

The glass you get with the pour is definitely the best glass they have. You can actually fit an entire can!

Also Bright w/Nelson! So good. Miss me with that Bright hate.

Wow, really? I had one Saturday night and I couldn't believe how dead on it tasted like bananas and peanut butter (real not artificial). I liked it a lot.

I thought Steadfast was pretty meh. Still haven't tried Persevere

Tree house has jumped the shark

I’m a long time fan boy of treehouse. The fame and deliciousness of treehouse beers always seems to attract more fans and crowds. I’ve waited in line in Monson for 2 1/2 hours to pick up Thanksgiving beer. I’ve waited in my car in Charlton for over an hour to pick up beer. Today I arrived at the Cape COd Treehouse location and was delivered beer to the trunk of my car within 10 minutes. Still the same excellent quality beer but without the lines. And, under half an hour from my home.

In that they only have nine parking spaces at this location and they are very time conscious on the pick up schedule. Very efficient
