I’ve yet to try anything from Origin Beer Project in Providence, but I’ve heard good things

Everything I've had from them is very solid. They have pretty limited hours, but worth checking out if you get the chance.

What qualifies as a nano? Honestly not sure.

Idk what a nano is, but Brewery Silvaticus rocks and is quite small. Cool space, excellent, focused beers, friendly staff and the neighborhood is great. All-around great vibe.

I also thoroughly enjoy Schilling's space and neighborhood. Not as small as Silvaticus, though.

According to three different beer sites I just visited, a nano is so small that it produces batches of beer in sizes of 3 barrels or less at a time. So I guess a nano is pretty darn small. I’m sure some of the breweries we are thinking of as nanos aren’t really nanos at all.

I feel like this question is exclusionary. What about the rest of your Northeast brethren (and sistren)?

Maybe express why you are asking about “new nano’s” so folks have a better understanding of what you are seeking.

As an example of what I mean: Maybe you are looking for new hidden gems that tend to only be known by local folks. Is nano important or just a limiting factor? As mentioned, nano has a specific meaning, which may or may not be your intention.

West LA in Swanzey NH is a nice small brewery.

    Thank you Google:
A nano-brewery usually uses a 7.5barrel systems (1/3 to 1/10th the size of a microbrewery) and produces beer at the rate of a few batches a week. ... A brew-pub typically produces 15,000 or less barrel of beer each year and 75% or more of the beer is consumed at the pub (not sold to other pubs).

Yeah I looked it up too. It is worth noting that there is no agreed upon criteria within the industry for what constitutes a nano. Also percentage of beer consumed on-site as a qualifier for a nano is antiquated info as some nanos don’t have a taproom at all. You might need to go back to this google thingy and check more than one source.

My guess is Troy City Brewing in Fall River qualifies, and they're a nice little spot.

Moniker Brewery in Providence on West Fountain Street (also home to Bayberry Beerhall, Beer on Earth, and Bucktown fried chicken) may fit the new nano classification. They opened in late 2020 and do a multitude of styles well, but nothing TOO well where you are waiting in a can line if you know what I mean.
