Toppling Goliath (2021)

So this thread slowed down. X-pink was great, really wish TG would move away from doubles and go back into pales, they really are at their best when they are in between 5-6% IMO. But we all know that isn't gonna happen.

Other news, King is tasting really different lately, at least to me. Grabbed a few fresh 4 packs while I was down at the brewery, only 3 days old. Was excited to crack one open when I got back to my cabin, only to find a muted slightly over acidic version of a once great beer. Sucks considering I paid TG prices for the 4 pack, not good woody's prices, and now I have a bunch of king that I dont wanna drink. Who knows, maybe it will get better with age, lol.

 

Just curious are we back to normal in decorah for assasin release? Any happenings around town? Mabes have pours or the courtyard share going on anyone know?

 

Everything seemed "open" while I was down there, but I would doubt that there will be any shares or pours going on. TG has pulled everything in house since pandemic started.

 

TG is celebrating Sue's 10th birthday with.... wait for it.... Luther Lager.... WTF? What a miss IMO.

 

Where do you get that Luther Lager is to celebrate Sue's 10th? (I try to avoid instatwitface, so perhaps it was there...)

 

I wish for the 10th anniversary of Pseudo Sue we got 12 packs of Pseudo Sue.

 

Same here, dont do social media, but I can see there Twitter without an account. It is the beer they are releasing this weekend for Sue birthday, wouldn't so much say it's to celebrate. Would expect some DDH at least or something that has to do with Sue to drop. But to much to ask I guess...

 

They haven't hit Chicago yet? They are starting to rot on the shelf in La Crosse last time I was down that way with around 3 months on them. But that's pretty normal for any TG now a days.

 

Yeah I haven't seen them here yet. I assume the same would happen here but I'd love to pick one up. Fresh Sue is one of my favorite beers ever and to have 12 of them in my fridge would be wild.

 

Brother I can feel you on that. I love stocking up on the 12's, hoping they ship them to the U.P. when TG finally heads up this way from down state. There is no better fridge beer if fresh IMO.

 

Live At Luther Lager by Dale Matthews & Tom Reynolds is a CLASSIC.

 

Hope you get them soon, the 12 packs were an awesome decision by TG. And maybe I'm alone on this, but I feel like the last couple 12 packs I bought were by FAR the haziest I've ever seen Sue. I know it's gotten hazier over the years, but this was damn near OJ level. It was damn tasty too!

 

My brother lives close and swung by, nothing special on tap for IPA's, you are correct about a few BA's on tap but most of them have been on tap since I was down there in May.

 

So TG is gonna start making seltzers...
