They make moving beer. I was surprised to see how much I enjoyed Rainmaker; it's a very different take on the New England style: rather than doing the hyper-green resiny-hot hop juice (Monkish, Green Cheek), the tropical milkshake smoothie style (Humble Sea, Tired Hands), or the hop-oily dank style (Other Half, ASB), they do a very clean, balanced and subtle base, where the aromatics really come out without much interference from anything else, without being overwhelming.

It reminds me a bit of how Sante used to do haze before they tilted toward the more aggressive expressions, or how Hill Farm does the style.

But I seriously have never had a brewery have a taplist that was so uniformly excellent.

So hyped for the Chinatown location. 2 miles from my spot. Been driving to Pomona for pretty much every release for the last 3 years and I'm not even much of a sour drinker. Goes to show how good I think these beers are. The tap list is killer right now. Daily Routine is one of the best Pilsners I've ever had.

Daily Routine is outlandishly good. It's a perfect beer.

Finally made it out to Homage Chinatown. Got in line at 230. Opened at 3. After they worked through the initial line, everything moved steadily.

Grabbed bottles of Vin Violetta and Batch B Saison. Had three beers. Melange Des Chesnes was definitely the highlight. The Belgian Tripel, Discovery, was also really good. I wasn't particularly blown away with Rainmaker. It's good, but, as mentioned earlier, it's very subdued. Don't expect to be overwhelmed.

All in all... Good stuff. Definitely will pair with visits to HpB

I was at Homage on Friday night from 10-11, packed crowd, DJ, people dancing. I'm impressed that the crowd, more the nightclub crowd than the craft beer clientele, happily ordered beers from a taplist that I would call advanced, majority barrel-aged saisons, stouts, beers w/brett, w/a couple hazy IPA's.

This is easily the biggest thing to happen in LA beer since HpB opened down the block.

Why would one make the “p” lowercase in “HPB”?

Didn’t notice this UnknownK. Nice. I thought I was alone. Lol. :ok_hand:
I’ll take the blame on this one, @cquiroga UnknownK was trying to have fun with what I started years ago.

Finally got around to visiting the new location; a beautiful space and a powerhouse of a tap list. Tried Fume Blanc, Melange Des Chenes, Purple Robots, and Reality in Motion; all great stuff but I was pretty amazed with MDC. I’ve had this beer several times and I always thought it was great.

In short, don’t sleep on their non-fruited saisons.

Does Homage (and for that matter, Highland Park) post a taplist?

Homage usually doesn't post a taplist... gotta dig through Instagram usually to see any kind of menu
