The bartender was impressed that I didn't get any chili on my shirt so she bought me a Bitburger Pils

Some newer offerings from Six Bridges:

Healthy Body, Sick Mind Golden Ale 5%
Made with matcha, lemon, ginger, and ginseng. Interesting, its light and herbal/grassy. I didn't know what matcha is either, its an herbal tea. Not bad.

This, believe it or not is a Marzen. I remarked to the employee who poured it that it is the lightest colored Marzen I have even seen. He said it is a pilot batch they are experimenting with for a can release in September. I consider myself to be well versed in German beers, but I honestly don't know what to make of this one. It's light, grainy and a little toasty. Definitely malty with a some restrained bitterness for balance. Except for the lack of clarity, it's within Marzen parameters, it's just you rarely see one this light in color. Very interested in their can release. Comments welcomed.

Opened an old Eric More Cowbell! chocolate milk stout from Singlecut, and it pretty much tastes like chocolate milk now, for better or for worse. Cheers all!

always wondered where that more cowbell phrase came from

While it may not look like a Marzen, it looks tasty! How did you like it taste wise?

I've done some more investigating (sorry but I'm a total beer geek) on this pilot batch and I'm betting this is going to be a Festbier this fall. They need to clarify it though. If so, it will be a hit.

It's actually pretty spot on for a Festbier. It's very malty with good balance of bitterness. Not bland at all. I could pound a big mug of this easy.
