I just asked the bartender if I could have another Glasswork. She obliged. Peace...

    Fat Head's - IBUsive IPA (7.5%) - Overall rating = 4.23

Having this from a 16oz canned on 2021-06-11
A - Clear gold with a 3-finger pillowy head that sticks around leaving very good lace
S - Powerful. Dank buds and overripe pineapple you can smell from 3 feet away.
T - More dank bud, pineapple, grapefruit, pine. Righteously bitter at 90 IBUs but there's an orange sweetness that moderates it and adds a pleasing touch.
M - Medium body and carbonation. Dry finish.
O - Very enjoyable brew, especially if you like to walk on the dank side. I like Head Hunter better but would be glad for this any day of the week.

It was a fun day and very hot. Now that I'm back in the Pittsburgh area, I decided to go swimming at the pool where I learned the skill. Last time swimming at the North Park pool (Allegheny County, PA) was 1963; right before my parents moved us away to NJ.

It was very familiar and it felt great to be in the water. On the way back home, I decided to stop at Fat Head's to try their new "LAKESHORE ELECTRIC Blonde Ale" but they were closed due to "staffing issues" according to the sign on the door. Ahh well; I went down the street to Buddy's on Carson (beer distributor), bought this IBUsive and drove back home to try it out; contenting myself with this related song.

The first, brief, leg of my journey finds me back in my brother’s pool with our home brew “Double Black IPA”:

Drinking this Double Black Currant & Pinot Noir grape Wild Sinister Kid with some quick pasta I just made, on my second plate now, almost like a red wine with the meal. Really tasty, juicy acidic earthy leathery tart dark berries, some fresh red wine grape, tannins, oaky spice, dark caramel malts, molasses, chocolate, dark fruit notes, pretty interesting wild ale. I can hear the thunder and see the dark storm rolling over here now. Glad to be inside with a good meal and a drink. Cheers all!

Definitely a non event here. A little rain, very little wind and a little bit of thunder and lightning but mostly on the periphery. So relaxing with this now ..

About 6 or 7 yrs ago a series of electrical storms rolled directly over MPLS/ST PAUL and severely damaged several power grids resulting in power outages for hundreds of thousands of folks. I'm 16 miles from downtown Minne. We and about 180K others lost power for 5 nights and 6 days. No stop lights or traffic control. No gas pumps. No refeg'd beer stores. Anything that needed to stay cold was lost. Peeps were starting to get nutty. Some power took weeks to restore. So yeah, I have a gas powered back up generator :sunglasses: It's quiet. Cheers! Be safe!
