Any word on the July monthly boxes?

 

Can I ask whether it's the "you might have to park pretty far away but you can get a space" kind of bad parking or the "you have to drive around in circles to find any parking whatsoever" kind of bad parking?

This will be a lot closer to us than Salem but I'm not that familiar with the area. Thanks!

 

There's usually some parking on Western, you might have to drive down by Mahoney's/Article 24 to find something. You can also look on Guest St. and the Boston Landing MBTA stop. You can also park in the Stop & Shop parking lot and walk over. That's a 10-15 min walk.

 

Did anyone ask/does anyone know when they’re going to officially open?

Was at the Brighton spot tonight and I can confirm they are starting a mug club… they refused to speculate on any more details but that was exciting enough for me!

 

Stellar time last night, love the new spot. That courtyard is killer, going to be great for events (as has been said already).

Had an awesome time with @EnronCFO and his buddy. Thanks for the shout out on here and letting me hang out!

Was good to run into the Idle Hands crew as well. Good to see other great breweries in the area supporting each other.

I will absolutely be back...again, and again, and again...

 

Anyone else surprised that the beer was entirely free? I don’t get invited to such things, so I felt really weird when the kid told me there was no charge at all. Pretty cool gesture. I would have happily paid as I enjoy supporting good businesses.

 

Yeah, I figured we'd get like two free drinks a piece or something. Loved trying different beers and pour sizes, and my buddy got his first Notch experience outside of the old cans of Left of the Dial he had a few years ago. I did miss the last call though, so couldn't get a final mliko pour before I left. Oh well, always next time (likely Saturday).

I was bummed that my workplace is making us all go back into the office in Sept, but given that Notch’s Brighton spot will be a 9 minute walk from work is really softening the blow nicely.

 

Correct, Friday at 4PM we open to the public, announcement coming later today on social. Appreciate everyone who was able to make it.

Some details: Mug club details TBD; food trucks on weekends until food stalls come on-line; the lot adjacent to the tap room is ours and parking is allowed in the Charles River Community Health parking lot at 495 Western Ave on the weekends (plenty of space there).

Beers: we'll have a stichfass of ungespundet Friday, and 14 beers all weekend. Kolsch and Reel to Reel on deck when lines open. Full draft list on our website in a few hours.

Brewery: our mechanical systems fire up next week, and we'll be brewing in a few weeks in Brighton. Brew schedule: Brighton Bitter, The Standard, Jedenáctka, Tmavy, Tenner, Dark Mild.

 

And not a parking solution, but it's also worth noting that there is a Blue Bike rack about 500 feet away from the Speedway. And the Speedway is on the Charles River bike path, so accessible from pretty much anywhere in greater Boston. One note of caution: the intersection of Soldiers Field, Arsenal/Western, and Market St where the Speedway is located can be a bit treacherous, so plan on walking your bike from the path to the Speedway. My buddy almost got nailed by someone turning after the light turned red last night.
