My wife and I visited Charlton last weekend for the first time since everything happened and it was sooo unbelievably nice to grab a couple pints, see all the new things that they have done and have things feel like normal again.

Julius batch one available today. I'd be interested to see if it's the deep red-ish color that it was back in the day or if it's a standard hazie

I got a newb question here.

If I place an order within a certain period of time for the Sandwich location, and somehow miss that window and am later, can I still show up any time (within the same day, of course) and pick up my beer no problem?

Yes you can. The time is more of a courtesy to them. Fox Farm is similar

That may apply to Charlton and Deerfield, but in Sandwich you're required to honor your pick up time.

Contact them as Sandwich is a unique situation due to it's location.

Like, call? I want to wait until I’m in the area to place an order but I also want to guarantee I get a time slot before we head to our hotel.

They are responsive to emails. Just ask them how close to your actual pick up time is required.

Anecdotal but my buddy had a negative experience in Sandwich.

Selected a time slot based on projected summer traffic but arrived earlier than anticipated. TH staff would not accommodate his 12 pack order and told him to return in an hour. I’m told multiple staff were visibly idle but still no budging.

Jesus. That’s kind of shitty. That’s kinda why I might select a little earlier than later. I figure I’d rather get there after my order has been done. This is gonna be my hotel beer. I’m already nervous I might not make Fox Farm by 5 on Sunday, haha

Rules is Rules? IDK, just from a pragmatic standpoint, systems do not run well with many exceptions. I guess this might confirm they only make exceptions for people being later than earlier in their system.

Do they give a ballpark time slot before you click order like basically every online food ordering website? Like if you order right now your time slot will be between x time and x time? Or can you preselect a time slot with plenty of notice? I have to assume yes because if not that’s a BS rule.

@nesarebad Agreed and I can’t side with either party as it wasn’t my experience. Would just be unfortunate customer service if there truly were few customers and staff had the capacity to quickly grab the order.

One edit; I assume my buddy had slightly more than a 12 pack (that was the story) as that amount of cans wouldn’t satisfy the dollar threshold.

I believe it is slot, like pick up between the two times. I can see why they would let people come in later because it would be after the time they would put the order together. It makes the process of assembling the orders more streamlined that way. On the other hand, I could see them being upset with too many people coming in later, as the slots are designed to manage the flow of people to the brewery. This is especially an issue with Sandwich, as parking is an issue.

I asked this two weeks ago and was told you have a 15 minute window before and after your selected time. Things may have changed since, but parking is tight down there. Once you place the order, you get an email confirmation with a link to click when you are there. They assemble after they get that alert.
