Yeah you can’t go there in a hurry. But they also, like most restaurants and breweries, are training most of their staff most are new hires right now. When I went I had no issues

I also stopped by on Saturday with intentions to have lunch but was told at least an hour for a table so I picked up my bottle and split unfortunately.

Wow, it looks like I got lucky on the wait. We went at 5pm Saturday and there was zero wait for an outdoor table. It looked like there maybe was a wait (but a pretty short one) for indoor tables.

OK Huntley location. On Sunday, I know it's my fault for going with a short window, but when I get seated outside, wait 10 mins, and get no service, I should be allowed to go to the bar and just get my own beer when I'm not staying for food, right? Unfortunately, you can't order a beer there either, as the bartender will say you're sitting at a table. Pretty annoyed, not royalty by any means, but just wanted to grab a quick pour before dinner plans elsewhere. Wife and I didn't sit at the bar (which was PLENTY open) to begin with because we had our two little guys with us. Whatever. That all said, we did finally get served (assume the bartender mentioned it to the somebody that no service is happening outside).

BA Arketype Fudge Macaroon was at least the most enjoyable Arketype I've had to date. The barrel got hidden by the coconut a smidge, but still a nice drink and I had before this beer not really warmed up to any of the Arketypes...It was certainly not Double Origin (which I'd had earlier in the week and would have gladly taken another pour of), but I was happy with the pour all the same. Just wish I could've enjoyed it a little longer than rush drinking it when the monsoon came courtesy of a delayed service and a tight window. My own fault, I suppose. I'll catch the next BA draft with a lot more expendable time.

"I'm not sure why you would age a stout for 27 months just to cover up nearly all the flavor of the barrel with coconut, but I'm not a brewer."

Have to agree with this, there was a LOT of coconut in the pour that I had yesterday. It was certainly a very good BA stout and had a lot of depth of flavor behind the coconut, but I do wish they had dialed it back a bit to let some of the other flavors shine a bit more.

FYI, both More locations have a bunch of 2-packs of the stout and barleywine releases from the last year to go right now. VP has Arketype Macaroon, Am I Me, Netipattam Caramel, Chocolosa, Xocolaj, and Henna Cinnamon Babka. Huntley has even more. In case you missed something you wanted.

Stopped at Huntley on Saturday to pickup my bottle of DO and of course stayed for lunch and some pours since I was there. As usual the food, beer and service were excellent and my world was forever changed. Got the truffle curds and those might be the tastiest curds I can ever remember having; if my curd isn't fried in truffle oil, I want no part of it. Have really dug my trips to More over the course of the pandemic just wish it was a little bit closer but always worth the trip.

This bottle will be $25 + tax per 500mL bottle. Limit 1 per person.

The release will formally start at 10am at our Villa Park location on Friday, July 16th and we will start wrist-banding people roughly an hour beforehand. We have only 520 bottles total will be available for purchase. We are expecting a high amount of participants and will have four payment terminals to expedite the process. Heavily adjuncting Weller stouts is something I don’t understand (Maplewood’s Cuppa release took it to the extreme).

I'm tapped out after Double Origin; as others have stated, why barrel age a beer for 27 months only to dump a ton of sugar-y treats into it?

I'm not against a sweeter stout, but at this point it feels like More has lost the plot.

It's such a waste of premium barrels.

In complete agreement. I've been lucky to win a few lotteries for More barrel aged stouts. At this point they are kinda just all blending together in terms of taste. They're good but I can't remember an absolute standout other than Petro and that was just coffee, and even then I think I would have preferred Rada.

Petro was one of the best BA coffee stouts in the last few years. Was very happy to not have any green pepper notes and the base/barrel was fire

To all who don’t like Double Origin, send me your bottles! Lol. But actually I thought the barrel came through perfectly fine (granted I did have on tap)

Agree. Usually I agree with comments that putting a ton of candy on top of barrels is wasteful, even if the beer still tastes good as a pastry stout. But I thought this beer was well done, you get a lot of barrel and balance overall.
